what is death match?

never did play half life 1 , never heard about half life untill i bought my 9600xt card last nov. so what is deathmatch? is it multiplayer?is there teams? I have played lots of battlefield 1942 desert combat mod ctf is it like this?

yes i am a noob when it comes to half life so please dont flame me too bad. :LOL:
 
Deathmatch is everyone vs everyone fast paced ass whooping kill games
 
You just kill whatever moves in a multiplayer free for all..... :thumbs:
 
Deathmatch is really a poor reflection on humanity isn't it?

The concept is placing lots of people in an environment with lots of weapons and seeing what happens. Is there diplomacy with tea and biscuits? No, there's death, carnage and rape.

So you've played... 3 FPS now? And all made in the last 2 years? Hi, some of us still remember when our FPS heros were 2D and it wasn't first person yet.

Duke Nukem was a 2D scroller before it was an FPS. Re-read what I posted and it'll make sense.

My point is that deathmatch has been a part of FPS's since the beginning, and even the newest games have it. Some games, like the battlefield series, couldn't appropriately make DM work, but they are the exception not the rule.

I have not been playing games forever, just longer than half of you have lived I bet. And I do have a life. For the last 6 months I was only playing video games for about 30 minutes a day, at best.
