What is everyone's fps, rig, and settings?

you should be getting more i get more fps than you and your computer is better

Radeon X850xtP 1280-1024 as low as 20-30 to average 70-90 AMD 64@3000
on one of the maps bad lag with HDR with out HDR ok but only on one map so far

when you just say something as vague as 45-50fps, it doesn't mean much. he could be going through a more detailed part of the level, while you may be going through the inside of a house.

if this thread is going to be useful, we'll need to turn cl_showfps to 1, take a pic, and take a pic of your graphics options. ill post mine in a sec.

EDIT:

ok, i just started my own listen server, started anzio, picked allies and thats where im facing. its a good place to bench because its a very detailed scene.

cat 5.9
athlon XP @2.4ghz(around a a64 3000+ in speed)
x800 XT

i had to tone down the settings because i was getting around 30fps with my usual CS:S settings, let alone HDR.

Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
512mb 3200 RAM
128mb Geforce FX 5900xt
80gb HD
A7N8X-X Asus Mobo

DoD:S Settings:

640x480 Res
Everything at LOW
HDR Off
Dxlevel 80

FPS:

10-40 fps = Unplayable

Heh, I love when people with pwnage rigs post things like that because...

AMD Athlon 2500+ (1.8GHz)
512MB RAM
9600XT

40 FPS, all settings high, 2AA/AF, bloom.

Rig in Sig..
Full settings
1280x1024
Full HDR

about 140-200 FPS

how many more useless replies will this thread get? no one knows!

I see one! Starting with you!

no, you see son, i posted a reply with a solid benchmark. i guess i could have said i get 500-700fps, and been done with it, but i like to be accurate. you?

No, you wasted your time taking a screenshot for some random pointless thread, when the rest of us simply posted our results. And I don't see anyone with any unbelievable FPS here...

amd 2700+
1 gb 3200 ram
9800 pro

running with everything full, 1024x768, 2aa, 4af, full hdr, getting about 30 fps average.

dont have it yet (getting it real soon) and im hoping for like 60-80 fps on all high with hdr @ 1024x768

amd 64 +3200
1 gig corsair xms
7800gt

Specs in my sig, and I get a pretty constant 60, except when the action REALLY heats up (and I mean like, particles everywhere, shots in your crotch) and when I look at water.

It was nice and smooth on my machine.
1280x960 2xAA/4xAF
High Details and HDR.

Just a few pictures.

DoD:S really takes advantage of the way Source handles distant sounds. It's awesome. *giggles

i know you're the type of person that enjoys random pointless threads, but this thread does not have to be one of those. i posted the only solid evidence of my dod:s performance. everyone else could be exaggerating, posting what their avg FPS is by themselves in one room staring at the ceiling for all we know. and people like to naturally compete with others in these type of threads so they can somehow feel superior in their own sad little way, so they say they get better framerates than they are actually getting.

unless there is a standard for benching, these threads are USELESS for anyone trying to troubleshoot their performance problems. whats the point? oh and thats a rhetorical question, dreadlord, i don't want any answers from you anymore. just go away please.

2500+
1 gig ddr400
9800 pro
audgy 2 zs

All drivers updated, so dont even say it.

Tried changing every setting, but no matter what I do I get 15-40 fps. Which is pretty much unplayable. Last time I played I was at 1024x768, no AA, no AF, no HDR, all settings on medium. It was exactly the same at 1024x768, no AA, no AF, full HDR, Everything on high. And at 800x600 with everything on minimum. And 1280x1024, 2xaa, 2xaf, everything on high with full hrd took only about 5 fps off of it.

I'll put my average at 25, but in combat it tends to dip to 10-15 in most cases. This qualifies as unplayable in my book.

Scalability my ass.

I get around 20 to 30 FPS with my XP 2000+ and FX 5900. However, I don't have auto-exposure. I do have bloom, but that's it. I'm a little dissapointed, but I accept that my card is old and not the best of it's time. The funny thing is, HL2 recommended full HDR for my configuration.

Specs below.

Getting 50-60 FPS with everything on maximum settings.

2.64Ghz
1gb ram
X800 XT

Everything full, 1024x768, Full HDR, about 30-40 fps average in combat and 50-70 outside of combat

Specs:
AMD 64 3500+
1 GB ddr400 RAM in dual channel
Nvidia 6800 non GT 256MB
Some PCIe Mobo

DoD settings:
1024x768 res
texture, model, reflection, and shader settings all on high.
AA 2x AF 4x
full HDR

FPS:
upwards of 70 when looking at a wall, 50-60 when walking through a low detail area,
30-40 when in heavy combat or looking at a high detail area (like looking at a large part of the map from a tall building).

So I'm good. :smoking:

rig in sig.

i'm playing at 1600 x 1200, 2 x af, no aa, high settings, full hdr.

on anzio i get average 50-60 fps, with lows of about 35 in the most intensive sections and highs of 70-80.

and the game looks the sechs !!!

40-50 fps @ 1024x768 on my radeon 9200 128mb at low settings, with some tweaks and only using dx8.

Oh, and it's a P4 3Ghz, 1gig RAM.

Jackson
