Hi there, I can't seem to locate my Steam\SteamApps\youre [email protected]\counter-strike\cstrike folder. I've found a Valve/Steam folder but in only contains the User Agreement, an uninstallation file, and a Steam launcher.
Any help?
By the way, I did a search, couldn't find anything!

where did u save steam to? the folder should start wherever that is. For instance I saved mine in program files so my steam folder would be there. Did you search steam? or wat?

Yeah I searched for Steam and only got the one folder I mentioned
When I install things I just use the default stuff

Well it cant just disappear. I suggest maybe getting glasses? mite be going to blind there lol. Just look for steam wherever you saved at. It should be in there. You can still play steam right? cuz if u can then the folder is still on your comp.

I know it's on here somehwhere, and yes I can play, but I run a search and nothing comes up. I've gone hunting around and still can't find it. Anyone else have any ideas?

k wat search are you using? I just searched for steam from the built in search on my computer and I got loads of stuff from that search. You must be doing soemthing wrong.

I did the exact same thing as you.
Start/Search/For Files Or Folders/All Files And Folders/Steam, to be specific.
Only results are what I what I mentioned in my first post.

do you have things hidden? if you no wat i mean.

Do you have a shortcut to Steam anywhere?

If so, right click on it.

Click Properties

Click the Shortcut tab

Then it should show you the target location. Mine is: "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe"

From there, I find my account folder at "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamAps\[email protected]\"

Hope that helps :)

well that was easier then wat i was saying lmao. I shall not help anyone anymore.

It's only easier if he has a shortcut somewhere :p

Why didn't I think of that!
Thanks a lot
And it turns out it was basically right out in the open.
It's always in the most obvious place...
Le sigh

They've changed the Steam install directories now, I think ... my friend has just put it on his PC and it's different ... he's asleep so I can't check exactly how, sorry :)
