What should I pay and advanced modeller, animator, scripter, and texture artist monthly? What all together would it be to pay a team a month of that size?

Though you may not like it, PiMuRho has a very valid point. A fan message board is hardly the place to ask advice for an appropriate salary for a game designer.

What's pathetic is you attempting to take a moral high ground over something that doesn't exist. Have I banned you? Have I threatened to ban you? Of course not. Stop being so ridiculous.

There's numerous places where you could find the information that you're looking for - gamedev.net, gamasutra, all the usual places. You could even have looked at employment agency sites to get a general idea of salaries. Instead, you ask at a fan site for HL2, a place where the overwhelming majority of people would be completely unable to answer your question. This leads me to believe that you don't really have much idea of what you're doing.

Pi Muh Ro Is a good moderator, but do you honestly think he has time to reply in such an optomistic, happy way to every single stupid post? he'd go mad. Moderators are part of this comminuty too- they're not some automated response bot that will handle your every query with startling accuracy.

I've been moderating message boards/IRC/other stuff for best part of a decade now. I know what I'm doing, I know some people don't like the way I do it. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. It particularly irks me when someone posts a question that they could very easily have found the answer to with a couple of minutes hard googling. Google first, ask questions later - especially when the act of asking that question makes you look horribly unprofessional.
