What is this? Digital display hardware, how can I hook it up?

I've attached a pic of the three-digit readout. It was originally connected into the turbo switch circuit on an old old computer of mine, but I'd like to use the display to display stuff on the front of my computer. It's got a billion jumpers on the back, and the cable that's coming off some of the pins has three wires. Can I do anything at all with it?

Its not as simple as that (not that i know of :))

You need some sort of controller chip to get it working. You will also need a program to give it data.

Aww, there's no 'cool digital readout' connection pin on my mobo. bleah.

Well you might be able to have an external digital monitor of your hardrive temps. Just check to see if there are any cables on your MoBo that have that kind of output. I don't know if any really do, but it's worth a look.

Fictious will I havent seen a display like that since the old 486 days back in 1995... Give it up and do what Random said m8.

I think you can make the display show something static just by playing around with the jumpers. I remember when I bough a PC 7 years ago, mine said "200" for whatever f*cking reason :)

Cool... I reckon that, if you could get it to display "666", then painted your case red, you'd have a really neat machine there...
