Maybe it's not because people wanted Portal more than TF2 but because Episode Two and Portal are games connected with the same storyline.

Episode One (again) > Episode Two > Portal > TF2

definately EP. 2 . . . i really have to know waht happens. the HL2 universe is utterly fascinating to me (possibly due to my love for 1984, and g-man's mystery).

Then Portal cause it looks wildly fun to me.

and then as soon as i stomp that one, TF2. . .

i've never played TF so i have no expectations (good or bad) for it. so it's at the bottomm just because i dont know what to make of it.

No, I'm right there with you.
Half-Life 2 was just another game that I played and beat... didn't see anything special, it was fun and there were a couple of memorable parts... but that was it for me.

I mainly got into HL2 for its modding capabilities.

As I haven't even played episode 1 yet the most obvious choice is: HL2 again > Ep1 > Ep2.

Portal and TF2 are separate games and will be administered directly into the vein as and when needed.

I agree with others that want to play Portal without any idea of what Aperture Science is rather than figuring a few things out first via Ep2.

I don't think anyone is. Nobody has a problem with Warbie's opinion at all; he doesn't flaunt it and squeeze it into every post. L3ad does. There's a difference. Back on topic please.

Episode 2 first, Portal next cause I havent gotten a decent puzzle fix in a while, then Team Fortress 2 (because personally, HL2: Deathmatch has kept me happy for a long time).
