I dont have it yet, but I wanna see how peoples PCs are running the game.
:smoking:

Ive got everything on high with vsync disabled and get anything from 200fps to 60fps depends whats going on, averages out around 100

my system

AMD FX 55
BFG Geforce 6800 ultra OC
1GB kingston hyper x

I've got everything on high at 1024x768 and i get a little chop now and then but overall very smooth.

AMD 1800+XP
512mb ram
9800 pro 256mb

1280*960 no aa or af and runs like a beauty. I dont have my exact FPS because it runs very smooth and its not that important in SP compared to MP.

Running with:
AMD 2800+xp
ATI 9800pro 256mb
PC2700 1024mb

I have everything set to highest including 6xaa and 16xaf with vsync enabled, at 1024x768, and it runs with no noticable slowdown, except for the stuttering when sounds and stuff are being loaded. But after a couple of hours of playing i started noticing artifacts that look like typical snow from memory being clocked too high, except it was red :/ Turned the game off to lower the clocks and havnt played again yet.
Specs: xp 3200+, 512mb pc3200, 9800xt, nf7s 2

Abit 1c7-g
Radeon 9800 pro 128
1024 ddr corsair
intel 2.6
game settings 4x sample 1280x720 detail high on all settings and runs well only little lag now and then :cheese:

1024*768 all settings maxed exept no aa or af (for now haven't tried anything else)

runs smooth as butter, didn't bother checking fps

althon 2400+
1024 mb ram
9800 pro

I have a feeling I'm going to cry when I play it on my 9200 pro.

I CANT BELIEVE IT !!!!

my pc - Thunderbird 1,33 512 RAM, GF4 Ti 4200
Everything on high, 1024*768, 2x AF - absolutely smooth

I've got mine up to 1600x1200 4xaa and 16xanso Runs without a hitch. I run anywere between 50-60 fps. I'm so happy. I'm at work right now and just might go home sick. I got to play for about 3 hours last night before I HAD to go to bed. I'm still in AWE of the masterpiece that is HL2. Way to go valve.

It was automatically set to highest settings for my system, runs perfect. I'm very happy.

Thank you.

I have an AMD Athlon XP 1700+ and GeForce FX 5900XT and a gig of Ram and only a few slowdowns here and there. AA is on Trilinear and Reflect All and the game set everything else to high. I only notice it takes a bit to load but I'll be upgrading next year.

Mine initially set it to 4xAA 8xAF and everything else on high, but I was getting a bit of stutter occasionally (like when there were 4 combine soldiers, and they were standing in water), so I turned the AA off. It was running fine at 2xAA but I can't even notice much difference at 4xAA so why loose those extra FPS?

1280x1024
NO AA (it defaulted to 4x)
8xAF
Everything else on high.

System:
P4 2.8C
1 GB DDR dual channel
ASUS 6800GT 128Mb (it's basically a standard 128mb 6800 with a GT chip instead)

Got the graphics card today to replace my Ti4200 - I wanted the extra wow factor and visual bliss. It was well worth it, especially since the game is so good! I finished preloading on steam, then shut down my computer, had dinner, installed the graphics card then restarted and it started unlocking (6pm here in Brisbane, Australia!) so it was the first thing I experienced with the card.

2AA / 4 AF
Water = simple reflections
Everything else on max

30-100 fps

Athlon 1.4
9800 Pro
512 DDR

aa & af off
simple water
everything else maxed

no idea about fps, but butter smooth

athlon xp 2600+
1gb ddr
gf4 ti4200 8x 128mb

hey guys, new here. just wondering if I could play it on my older computer. got it 2 years ago and never updated anything. don't have the money to update so I was wondering if I could play it on lower settings until I'm able to upgrade. it's a piece of shit but here you go: (don't know much about all the PC stuff, it's just what I got from the system)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz
1.99GHz, 256MB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 4MX 420

also, does it come only on DVDs in the US or also on CDs?
thanks

AMD XP 3000(barton core)
512 DDR333(pc2700)
ATI radeon 9800pro 128mb
Soundblaster audigy 2 24bit.
Mach speed Nforce2(mobo)

i run it at 1024x768 high quality textures no AA no AF
everything defaulted in advanced settings(in game) to the highest possible. it hasnt even stuttered once.

The game is heavily optimized - only the loading times could be bad.

Yes, it will work fine on the medium and lower (probably more of the lower than medium) video settings. In fact, it may run well enough that once you start playing it, you realize you don't need to upgrade.

This engine is stunning, it runs far better than I ever hoped it would and looks far better than any screen shot.

Very smooth apart from the odd stutter @ 1024x768 everything on high, no AA.

On
Athlon XP2500 @ 2.0ghz
1gb PC3200
GF 5700 Ultra
XP sp2

Will try and force DX9 later to see what happens.

1280x1024 max details 4x AA 8x AF very smooth.

See sig for specs.

Okay, I'm at last ready to play, got back from work. It's running smooth, 1280x960, 2xAA

Specs:
P4 Prescott [email protected]
1 Gig Kingston HyperX DDR400 (Dual Channel 2x512MB)
ASUS Radeon 9600xt
Onboard Realtec AC'97

Hope it helps

1024*768 max everything, except aa and af on 2x. I average 80 fps.
I could probably turn up af and aa, but I kind of like 40fps to be the biggest slowdown I ever hit.

My specs:
2500+
1 gig ddr400
built by ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb
audgy2
