I want to know the:
Brand
Series/line
size
And if possible links to your artwork.

Also would this be a good time to by myself an intuos3?
Since Wacom tends to introduce a new line every 3 years. But so far I haven't heard anything about a intuos4, and I'll need a tablet before September.

How long does it usually take for wacom to release a new line after they first announce it?

Wacom
Graphire 3
8x6 inch

See signature.

Thnx for posting. I do have another question. And it's concerning lag. Do you have it.
I tried a intuos2 and I noticed the lag quite bit.
How's your graphire and do you know how it is for the intuos.

Lag? Haha. That's ridiculous.

It sends mouse data just like any other mouse, the only lag I could see happening is within the program itself.

I don't know what any other pads are like, I like my Graphire3 just dandy. I wouldn't recommend spending money for over 8x6 size unless you REALLY think you need to. Size isn't too important, it feels very natural.

Wacom, Graphire3, 8x6. Same as Veg here. It's very funky, but it makes me draw in large pictures because i'm no good otherwise. :P

It's very natural, smooth, and generally awesome.

I have nothing on the internets currently showcasing its ability, but i will have soon.

Wacom graphire (old school).
i've never noticed any lag, perhaps the display model that you tested had something wrong with it. if you're just starting out i highly recommend getting a graphire it doesnt have as much surface area but atm its a lot cheaper and portable.

Wacom Graphire 3 6x8. Most of the stuff I use it for is texture work or Zbrush, so its kinda hard to show you things ive done with it.

Love to see your zbrush work man, Zbrush and Silo are the biggest reasons I'm buying a tablet. Just take a screenshot of your zbrush.
I'm still new at it and still using a mouse but here are some of my things in Zbrush
The ship and the army radio are in 3dsmax though

wacom intuos 3 6 x 11 ftw beatches. : )

I finally got an Intuos3 A5 (6x8?) last month. Really nice bit of kit, I love it.

It has taken me longer than I thought it would to really get the hang of it. I'm not sure if it's because of the fact that I'm so used to drawing at an angle (on paper) or something. Still, it's worth every penny.

Is it possible to set up the tablets buttons to correspond to different keys/actions in different programs. Like a kind of profile for different apps.

I got my intuos set up for zbrush, but photoshop and painter use different shortcuts + for some reason in painter my eraser doesn't erase, it just acts like the pen.
And how do you bring up the pop up menu?

A4 & A5 Intuos 3's

The A4 is for home use, I use the A5 in the office. I'd have to say A5 is pretty much as large as you need tbh, I barely use half of the A4 when drawing/painting on a weekend.

You tried setting up the applications specifically in the Wacom properties menu in the control panel? You should be able to tie specific keys to specific tasks in there.

Thank you very much, now about that pop-up menu?
