Just a thread of curiosity, seeing how everyone gets many temps, I wanna know what cooling most of you guys use.

I get 55 C average while playing games on my gpu (6800 256mb) it climbs to 70 max, 67 average when I play with HDR on full, I get 47 average on cpu (3800+ X2)and not quite sure what the max has been but I know its never gotten to 70 (autoshutoff temp). The only cooling I have is a fan on the gpu and a fan/heatsink combo on the cpu leading right out a side vent, also a shotgun # of holes/vent on the back.

i have a amd 64 3200 o/c to 2.5 on stock cooler and it idles at 29C 40C load
gfx card no idea because there is no temperature detector but it gets hot.

CPU never goes above 55C since I fixed it :p

I however presently have no case fans, so that temperature should improve :D

AMD 4000+ - Idle:35c Load: 50c
7800gtx - Idle: 60c Load: 85-93c

Thats pretty much about it. A little high I think, but no problems for 9 months now.

AMD 3500 @ 3800 = 45c Idle, 55c active.
GPU 6600 = 50c Idle 65c active.

When my CPU wasn't overclocked I could get 35c idle.

A64 3500+ = 39C idle; 42C when converting video.

7800GT 256MB - 46C idle; 57C when playing Oblivion.

System (MB) = 38C.

athlon 64 3800+ @ 2.77, 1.525v - 29 idle - 35 load
X1800XT - 55 idle - 70 load
MB - 28

3500+ with a XP 90 (alluminum one), about 30-35C under load (40 in spikes), room temp about 80-90F

6800GT with supplied Gigabyte HSF (http://www.ultra-price.by/image/gigabyte_geforce6800gt.jpg) removed and refitted with Arctic Silver 5, 40C load and idle. I used to get 60+ idling, but the AS5 did wonders :D

i have high temps because my system is a few years old and ive never bothered changing the thermal paste.....
system 35
cpu 45-55
gpu 76-88 (and its underclocked a bit)

Idles

CPU 39C

GPU 40C

Mobo 31C

PCs been on all day, and everythings overclocked. :)

What's the point of knowing other people's system temerature's?

Deathmaster, my 3800 X2 gets to about 45 degrees celsius on full load and it's o/c to 2.2ghz with stock cooling. I'll propbably get a better cooler and bump it up higher. I also have the Antec Performance TX case.

Your X2 should be fine as it is but keep it under 60, at 70 it'll probably fry.

i know, thats just the lockdown temp, I think its running at maybe 55ish max but averaging less than 47 C.
Do u know a good program to measure cpu temp after boot, like while playing a game in window mode. I know Motherboard monitor is recommended by lots but I tried it and it doesnt work for me.

:hmph: to know if what I have compares well duh
As long as it's not too hot it's fine.

A contest to see who has the coldest CPU's?

amd opteron 165 dual core @ 32 degrees idle
dif lan aprty ultra sli-d mobo @ 42 degrees idle
Northbridge @ 40 degrees idle
7800gt 512 GPU @ 31 degrees idle
7800gt 512 GPU Ambient @ 28 degrees idle
Ide seagate 7200.7 @ 25
SATA 7200.9 @ 24

Underclocking can make your card Artifact.

eh no it wont lol you just cant underclock toooo low but artifacts only happen when the card overheats

Idle:
CPU: 20c, says me BIOS. I've caught it at 14c before. (A64 3700+)
GPU: 40c, says speedfan. (eVGA 7800GT)

Never checked temps during load...

What I've done for testing during a load is right click desktop>properties>settings>advanced> click on your graphics card's name (mine is 6800)> click on temperature settings and it displays updating like once every 2 seconds or so, just play a game in a window with this thing on the side and you can see what it goes up to, I've tried that with everest to see the temps on the cpu but its a bi*** since I have to do report blah blah and I dont think its right all the time cuz it sometimes says 46 (which I think is most accurate) and sometimes a ridiculous # like 8 C and 90, I think it depends on the timing but I wish I had something that measured like the bios and nvidia properties thingy, I tried speedfan and that works the best.

EDIT: BTW does anyone know how to not make the fan run 100% when I exit speedfan, like when I restart the system it always does that or if I just close SF, it's really irritating :frown:

^ yea wth, that happened with one pc I used it on, so I got rid of it. On my current pc however, speedfan has no effect on the fans at all :\

Pentium 4 Northwood 2.53GHz: 35 - Idle 40 - Load

Sapphire Radeon x1600pro 512meg AGP: 40 - Idle 55 to 60 - Load

-----
Yay for horrible bottleneck :| . I've had my eye on a 3.0 ghz prescott processor for a while, but don't have the money for one.

GeForce FX 5900
GPU core: 51C
Ambient temperature: 41C
I'm not even doing anything except browsing these forums. The case has 7 fans and there are 2 fans on the graphics card. And also a fan on the side of the case is blowing right on it...How do I find the temps for the motherboard and CPU?

everest would be more accurate though since your not really using the hardware when in the bios
