I dont think this belongs in music as it is more about the spiraling cost of anything media related in britain, now keep in mind interent shopping is cheaper and look at this-

No, just no, games cost seventy dollars, cds can cost up to forty dollars, dvd's somewhere in between. Can i just make one point clear to the greedy buissnes men causing this-
THE MORE EXPENSIVE THEY ARE THE MORE COPYING THERE WILL BE AND THE LESS MONEY YOU WILL MAKE
The regulators in birtain for music copying are now suing there own customers, who, for SOME reason are copying music and downloading it illegaly. Oh yeh thats why there so ****ing expensive, which your to blame for in the first place.
Whats that? Go to the legal sites, well im sorry but the legal sites, such as children starvers iTunes (and yes that is true) are being so mean with there contracts no british bands will sign up, and oh yeh because we live there that might be a problem!
So go to the shop, why, i dont have enough money to buy games or cds anymore, if games where twenty pounds i could buy them all the time, but as games are forty pounds i can never get together enough money for, and rely on buying cheap preowneds, and guess what fatcats, that gives YOU not one penny of my ****ing money.
So get my point? Having fun in this shithole of a country is either ILLEGAL or UNEXISTENT. And if evryone one of those greedy mother****er buisnes men are keeping it the same, that is more expensive that anywhere else in the world, then nothing will happen.
FU!

Agreed, its ridiculous however ive given up on buying music, im fed up of buying a cd for £10 and finding about 3 or 4 tracks minimum that I dont think are very good, so basically ive paid for those tracks that I dont even want :\. So now I "aquire" it. I dont buy DVDs or videos so that rules me out of that arguement. Computer games I usually buy for around £28 you have to shop around and avoid game at all costs, oh and places like woolsworth very expensive there.

I buy only computer games I really want when they come out, otherwise I'm content to wait a year or so for the price to go down. I used to buy a ton of CDs but right now I've got pretty much all the music I really want, so I don't need to worry about that.

DVDs I only buy my favorite movies, like the Matrix trilogy and Dawn of the Dead.

£40 for a game? I think you are shopping at Harrods as even the most expensive pc games should only cost a max of £35, and that is in a real store, £25 online.

The only "game" i have ever known to break the £35 barrier is Flight Simulator.
