What the Frag.... extreme slowdown?

I got to a certain part of the game on Highway17 where you have to stop and get out of the buggy, and go on foot to de-activate the force field to cross the railroad bridge. Anyways when I come to the part where I have to stop down below where the shack is, my game REALLY lags, like 7 fps. Why is this? The rest of the game works perfectly fine.

1GB ram PC 3200
ATI all in wonder 9800 128 mb - latest catalyst drivers
Windows XP SP2

help there is nothing to help the game works perfectly fine! who gets 60fps all of the time. no one.

Cant say exactly, but try lowering your settings for this it if its a big problem or a right kerfuffle Check the console for error msgs or loading weird things that could lead to the lag. Also if you are using cheats it could be something, or a cracked version of the game, well you deserve much pain! Likelihood is that its just a demanding section of the game. Follow Freeman is quite demanding as well, for reasons i wont reveal, but try and live with it, or turn down your settings for a bit.
