Okey dokey, this is my second thead in this section, just want to see if anyone can help me with this...:dork:

After I switch my computer on and use it for a while, I'll often minimise a window to find that the vast majority of my icons are using the wrong graphics (random, stuff like zip files using e-Mail icons, movie files using html icons, etc.). I am currently using windows 98, and I must admit that my icons are so numerous as to extend of the edge of the screen. I just keep forgetting to tidy my desktop.

So what is this, a virus? A corrupted file somewhere? A bug in windows?

Somebody help me pleeeeeaaaase!:(

Seeya.

I've had this happen to me both on XP and 98. I don't know what causes it, But I'd like to find out.

I have no clue. But in my add and remove programs in control panel on my dell, everything is screwed up. Itll say that MOH is 2kb or a BF mod is 6gb, etc.

yeah, i have these types of problems too sometimes, i think its the general bugginess of windows.

get a program called System Mechanic. Clear out all your temp files and registry and invaild uninstaller info, and it might solve it.

You want to solve that problem?

Install Linux

Windows is buggy as hell, and you have to take the good with the bad :-)
A couple of months ago every time i went to open a folder it took ten seconds plus to open.... this lasted for about a week... then suddenly it stopped and worked perfectly again.

Microshaft include these bugs so we stupidly upgrade to the next version of windows :-)

WE WILL COMPLY!!!!!!!

You prolly had the drive that has windows on it really full with data. This ussually happens if you don't have a good amount of space (300mb) and not a lot of ram. Since the computer can't work in the ram space it has to cache files to the drive. This slows down access times EMENSLY(sp)
