WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING !?

It's an optional feature, wtf are you spazzing out about?

I like how every single time Facebook makes even the most inconsequential and minuscule of changes to their website, people flip their shit and say Facebook is ruined.

You won't delete your account, no one ever does.

Hopefully it will ruin Facebook, and the whole festering mess with be dragged back down into hell.

I did.

I dont get how this is at all a bad thing.

"OH JESUS **** RECOGNIZABLE NAMES INSTEAD OF A RANDOM STRING OF NUMBERS IN MY URL JESUS GOD COCKS WHAT ARE THEY THINKING I QUIT FACEBOOK FOREVARRR!!!"

its not just in the URL !

...what? I thought this was more about how they were gonna make facebook not for free anymore, what the hell does this matter? How could this possibly ruin facebook? It's a miniscule, completely immaterial change. Silly, silly people.

Facebook is about connecting with people & finding people - it's a little difficult to do that if you can't search for recognizable names.
And it's not that big of a deal. I don't give a rat's ass, frankly.

How the **** does this change anything about facebook enough to warrant deactivating?

QUIT SPAZZING OUT, YA SPAZZ.

QUIT IT.

JUST STOP.

CMON.

What I love are the groups that spring up every time demanding the "old" facebook back. Don't these people realize that the creators don't give a shit?

flickr does this too, what's the big deal?

Now if I'm on a public computer I can type in flickr.com/photos/username instead of flickr.com/photos/@846167417....why is this a bad thing?

Hey guys seems the sky is falling again.

Well this thread isn't going anywhere anyway right.

sooo......how this can ruin the whole thing? doesnt myspace have that same stuff?

Its an SEO optimization , if you have context relevant urls it helps with your search engine ranking. It's not like it gives full access to your profile , it gives just about the same privileges that a face book search would have.

itt fivebars flips out over nothin'

Facebook is useful and all, but I'm mighty tired of all the little application/group invites I keep getting. People are stupidumb.

How is this bad?
bar^5, you're a ****ing moron.

Stop making threads.

Guys, holy shit, optional feature that puts names in your URL. Jesus ****ing christ. I'm committing suicide.

I think the more important question is wtf banbanbanbanned's doing here.

Getting his post count reset, proving that he is ignorant and just plain stupid.

Hey barbar, deactivate your HL2.net account while you're at it.

Facebook is ok...barely. Connecting up with old friends and family members is pretty cool. I couldn't care less about the applications crap though. I hear they are going to start charging you for using official and third-party applications in the future though. Meh, doesn't bother me.

Now, Twitter, on the other hand, is one big pile of shit. I seriously do not see the appeal in expressing every goddamn thought on some webpage. Some people find it useful I suppose....ugh.

No goddamnit! I'm going back to good old IRC!! :frown:

Actually they're both for Camwhoring, Facebook just has different ways to camwhore

My brother was able to get his first movie job working for Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and in the movie business out in California because of a network connection he made with someone on Myspace.

Yeah, "horrible". :p
Aaah, maybe PotC2 hiring people from Myspace is partly to blame for it being such dross then :p

ITT barbarbarbarbar successfully trolls HL2.net

You think he's a troll rather than just plain thick? You give him a lot of credit, sir.

He was part of the special effects team, not a script writer, you fatty!

The script writer was also hired via Myspace. True story.
