I was playing it on my 360, and it froze. I was driving a car on the highway, then it turned invisble (the car), and I couldn't get out, or drive, but I could steer (I could see my guy, and he still steered), and shoot out the window. So I restarted my 360, thinking it was a one-time dealy (never froze on Saints Row before), I took it out and there was a chip in the disc (it wasn't there before I put it in..).

It's like the disc is 2 layers, and only a small part is chipped off on the top layer, near the disc-hole.

Here is a crude drawing of what it's like.

Since the bottom "layer" is still intact, I can play the game fine, still, but wtf?

Bah, Saints Row is just as good as San Andreas, it'd be a million times better if they just put motorcycles/bicycles and flying things in it.

But if you take 2 wheeled thing and flying things out of San Andreas, Saints Row is better! GAH!

So did you try shaking the 360 to see if you can hear the piece rattling around yet?

Lol, good timing. On the day Microsoft gets a lawsuit filled against them for this very problem :p

I love my 360, had it since launch and only crashed once on me while selecting a different car in Forza. I don't play on it hardcore, so ye. Probably why I never had a problem.

Saints Row is bugged as hell, but it's a damned fun game, no matter how much it copied SA.

@IchI - It only crashed on me while I was playing Rainbow Six: Vegas and only while I played 2 player Terrorist Hunt. Well, it crashed on me this once with SR, too. I've had mine since this past Xmas.. I don't play mine too much, either..

@Antipop - I haven't encountered any bugs yet..

That invisible car is a common bug in Saint's Row. I've seen many times, it seems to occure when I'm driving at max speed with the car and exiting a freeway.

One time in Saint's Row some bug happened and I spawned with no clothes on and there wasn't one car or pedestrian in the whole game.

If my understanding of discs is correct, the top layer is actually where all the data is stored.

...but I'm probably a huge idiot.

lol, I love how everyone just gives their opinion of Saint's Row, completely ignoring the OP's problem

I think you're right but from the pic it looks like the chip is only in the clear part in the center of the disc, close enough in that the data is untouched.

It's about a millimeter into the label (picture on the disc).

Well, I'd say the fact that that piece snapped off is a sign of a structurally compromised disc. There are probably hairline cracks in the plastic now, so I wouldn't risk using it (if it shatters it could ruin the optical drive), so see if you can get a replacement disc.

Oooooooooh... that isn't good. Am I the only one who hasn't had a fatal problem on their Xbox 360?

My buddy had some heating issues with his, but got this kick ass cooler ... his 360 has never worked better.

PEACE

That was awesome.
'And I can't remember the name, of the third gang!'
