I wanna get either a new processor or memory,
I got at the moment:

P4 2.4GHz
768 MB Ram
9800PRO

I was looking at a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice or 1GB memory as the memory i got is slow.

If i got processor i would need a new mobo as my graphics card is AGP and i have Pentium processor so, i would probly just buy a cheap Asrock one till i upgrade my card to PCI-E then buy a better one.

So what should i get? Budget of about £200 btw so if you wanna pick something out....

Id wait and change for
Mobo PCI-E with s939
Athlon 64 3500+ Venice
2x512MB PC3200 Corsair CL2.5
PCI-E Geforce 6800GT

I read somewhere that there's a pci-e to agp adaptor ...just get the better mobo, you can still use your agp till you get a new card

There are a shitload of mobos out now that have both a pci-e port and a limited agp port, called an xgp port (?).

Unfortunately, your gfx card takes a humongous dive when using the xgp port, but at least you get to keep it.

Man I was about to ask the same question...infact I picked out the same processor as you.

3x256MB DDR PC2100 CL3.0

Get dual channel kit of OCZ Value VX's. Then if you get a mobo that supports pc3200 later down the line, you can just move the ram over.

It's sekseh.

I'm thinking of trying to find one in a US based store now.
