What type of maps do you like?

When I heard the rumors that there will be a Wake Island map in the new update, I thought that they should release an urban map, as people like them most, and this doesn't seem to be one. But then I wondered, maybe the fact that my friends and I enjoy urban maps the most doesn't mean the majority does so. So please state, which maps do you play most?

I only just got the game yesterday, but I prefer the urban maps. I like sitting outside a town area and sniping anyone I see.

That's a bit of an extreme statement, still many people play on chinese maps, otherwise there would only be urban servers.

I prefer the Urban Maps, especially Karkand (of course) but also really like Daqing Oilfields, Dalian Plant and FunShe Pass (just proves your statement about Chinese maps wrong borgasm)

I like urban maps because my DAO-12 can rip up infantry like none other.

I like open maps because my AT launcher needs some action too...then when they bail out of their burning vehicles, my DAO-12 eats them.

And that's an opinionated statement borgasm. Just because you don't like open maps doesn't mean jack. I know ALOT of people *including me* who dislike urban maps because of the armor whoring that occurs. Sure you get higher scores in urban maps...which is all that it's about. But really, if you want to play with a teamwork aspect with your squad, then open maps are the way to go.

Next time, keep your opinions to yourself, don't throw them into everybodies mouth.

it really depends on what type of mood that im in for that day. somedays i hate the BH whoring that goes on in the open maps, others i hate the tank whoring that goes on in the urban maps. all in all i cant decide which ones that i hate the most, the BH's or the tanks.


btw, cyberpitz we need to round up a few people to play some bf2...

I think the open maps that suck are Zatar and Clean Sweep.
All 3 urban maps are really good general maps which is why people seem to like them more.
I personally have the most fun on Dragon Valley, Fushe Pass, Karkand and Sharqi Peninsula.

I love Zatar wetlands, its a cool map. Though the flames on the towers get annoying in the jets. But on that map its cool because the fight always seems to be around the centre CP, so theres a lot of fighting.

I also love Dragon Valley, FuShe Pass, Clean Sweep, Karkand and Mastuur.

Just about all the maps are pretty good. Say Kubra Damn. That map is a big mistake. Clean Sweep is ok...I can play it, not the most enjoyable.

And yes, the fires on Zatar and Gulf of OmaR are rather annoying.

seriously, i can't stand the open maps especially when people take a vehicle that holds 9 million people and then leave by themselves.

If that fushe pass map had the planes that were two seaters then i would like it a lot more.

on that note, why is it that everytime the missle i shoot misses it's target i always tk like 10 people. It's not sometimes, it's always. Everytime i have seen the missle fly over its target or i was at too weird an angle, i ALWAYS tk people. Yea, i know it's heat seaking, but now im thinking that as a punishment for being too trigger happy, the missle becomes team seaking.

I slightly prefer urban maps, just because the combat is more intense and exciting, but open maps are great too. The preference is so slight it really doesn't matter to me.

In fact, in my opinion, there are no bad maps in BF2.

Kubra Dam has got to be the worst map from BF 1942 and BF2 (know i left out BF:V but meh!) we have dropped it from the clan server map rotation

ditto, sharqi's my fav, love it...

dragon valley is good fun particurly when PLA and AT class, you can absolutely own the american base with a good support teammate, fushe is good aswell, 32 version anyway.....dont mind songhua tbh

dalian plant/daqing are so-so, i'll play them but i never look for a server thats running them, always look for a sharqi, maashtur, karkand oman 1 first...

hate kubra and cleansweep, ugh, zatar isnt too bad...

Sharqi Peninsula is my absolute favorite map. Used to be Karkand but it got old after the hundredth time. Mashtur City is not nearly played enough by most servers. My fav chinese map would probably be Dalian Plant. I absolutely hate Daquing Oilfields not because it's not good but because I've played it too much.

But if they ditch you on an open map, then you feel lost and bored.
