There are several signs, and things to note about the recent release of the Liandri Conflicts. Although I have never played it myself, I've been to the site and noticed a few similarities.
Weapons?
If you don't mind going over to the below sites (the liandriconflict and the gametrailers review), and look at the weapons loadout. you will notice that there are definately two weapon designs that will be carried over

These are the Flak Cannon and the Rocket Launcher. The screens to support this statement are below, which you may compare.

Now if these two will definately be carried over, then several others may join:
Ripper- Seen in the original Unreal Tournament but never made it in to 2003 or 2004
Race Specific Weapons- Seen in Liandri Conflict but not in the UT games (Dual Enforcers Making a Comeback)
Grenade Launcher- Used in both UT2004 and LC
Stinger- Used in LC and may replace the Minigun
Race Specific Weapons and Vehicles?
I mentioned Race Specific Weapons that is used in LC, and this reminded me of a recent article. In Conquest mode (the new mode in UT2007) when you take over an area, the buildings in that vicinity change to match your races' style of architecture. If you tie that in with 1-on-1 with the specific weapons of LC, then it looks like Epic wants to create a more varied theme and this concept might be carried over to the vehicles (The Scorpian Fast Reconaissance Vehicle looks drastically different)
Melee Combat?
Although there will be a conquest mode, there might also be a mode for those who want to get down and dirty (part of Deathmatch possibly). There is a wide variety of melee weapons in LC, and fans of UT might get a nice surprise.
StoryMode
Its sounds a bit stupid I know. The idea came in to my head when I hear Epic are going to make the single player a bit more personal. Think about it, you fight inside the tournament, but your able to explore outside the ring as well (think futuristic westling tournaments), and punch somebody in the gob :O
Now that I've wapped up, if there anything that you would like to add to the discussion? Perhaps something that you would like to see in UT2007? Or if theres something that I've missed (links will be a major help to keeping this thread alive)
