Let's say you were to take a daily jog. The track takes up about five minutes to complete. Let's say that you chose one of either two things.
Option one is to do a certain amount of laps around the track. You can take a little break everytime you finish a lap. Let's say you jog at 7.0 MPH.
Option two is to do a certain amount of time regardless of laps. But you keep going until the time is up. Let's say you jog at 6.5 MPH.
Why am I so curious? I have my reasons.
By the way, do you guys think listening to songs you like on your MP3 player make jogging more enjoyable and seem faster?

Well, that's a weird question but I'd pick option two 'cause I'd rather just get it over with.
And yes, jogging with music going makes it go 100x faster.

Personally, I would take my break so I could have Gatorade, 1 592ml bottle of Gatorade should power me for 3 laps at 43Kph, therefore if I can drink 4 or more bottles of gatorade, I can run at 125kph around the track.

I win.

I think.

Option two. Like Q said, it's better to just get it over with. Also, music does make it go faster.

EDIT: 800th post!!

Option 1.
I enjoy jogging anyways.
And yes listening to music makes it go faster.

option two, but I know I'll never be able to run at 6.5mp/h For a whole 5 minutes
...
EDIT: And yes music does help...

Option two as well for me, get it done with.
Yeah, music makes most things go faster for me

Actually it makes it a hell of a lot faster. A couple months back I started running without an MP3 player.. Boy, do I regret it.. It honestly felt like I was running for about 3 hours when in reality it was only about 20 minutes.. One I got an MP3 player, it seriously felt like it was about 5 minutes.. Believe me its great.. Get one.

I see. I was doing an experiment to see what suits me better. I asked you guys a polite question but I got some harassment. Thank you to all the guys who answered nicely.

Option 1 is best.

What you would do though is run as fast you can each lap and then between the laps, just slow down and walk, then when you get to do the next lap, do it really fast again. Then over the weeks or so, cut down on the amount of rest you get between the laps and see if you can move the speed up a bit.

Option 2. Fits easier into my busy schedule, and can be varied by changing run speed. Can be as easy or as tough as you make it.

Yes, this is what i do. Even though Option 1 is really better, i don't run on a track just through town and along a tow path. When i can run my 2+ mile route without stopping, i will try to run a little faster, when i can do that at the new speed, i double the route and go round again for another lap.
