Well... what you think about it?

I think this game is sooooo damn addictive! I can play it for hours without getting tired, we can do so many things! :E

When it first came out it was amazing - never been done before and was even on the BBC Morning news. :| (Like how Spore will be, Maxis does it again).

After that, it got abit repetative and frustrating, I wasn't patient enough to get 6 friends and perfect stats just to get the "next promotion".

Hated Sims, love Sims 2.

It's a great relaxation game.

They were both very fun, but eventually I was forced to sell them after everything was done.

It was addictive...Strange because you don't really have to achieve anything...But yet it was.
Gave up on it after a while...

Sims 2 makes up for the other one's downfalls and is much more developed.

Maxis strike GOLD! (and find a cash-cow at the same time, no harm for them there!)

Never played...I don't like the Sims is a complete waste of time.

It's funny, about 85% of the male gaming population hates The Sims... either that or they're too ashamed to admit that they enjoyed playing it.

I just one day saw my sister playing The Sims 1, and she let me on it... before I realized it, 2 hours passed and I had built my first housem and I was completely drawn in.

Then Sims 2 comes along, whoops there goes my summer. D:

I rather enjoy starting with one guy, then moving him into a house, finding him someone to live with, starting his first career, climbing the ladder, having a baby, bringing it up, seeing the pressures of life drag his career down...Love it. Fun fun!

I liked it.

I made one guy who had a house essentially designed to murder visitors. I cleaned out the town!

It was a fun game

I have no idea about any of the Sims 1 on PC (never got it) but I loved it in Busting Out when death would come for someone, say, in the bath.:p

Its a very interesting experiment and one that shows that there is some innovative thinking happening on at least some level in the realm of videogaming. (And its loads of fun to do the crazy stuff that has been mentioned already and much much more!)

Only liked building grand houses with infinite cash and then making live a hell for the people in it.

I liked playing it at first. The sims is esentially a dollhouse where we explore our own social desires.

It was amazing when it was released. There was nothing like it.

The Sims 2 did almost the same.

My sister has it. The thing I hate is the amount of problems I have installing the expansions, and the fact that some require the deluxe edition (for XP installs)

QFMFT!!!

Luckily that's been sorted out for The Sims 2 but that was a rediculous oversight for the first one...

Murder visitors? loool! I do that too sometimes. I lock them in an empty room with no windows or doors. they get mad!

I did the exact same thing, I felt bad about it afterwards and exited to the neighborhood without saving.
The Sims and The Sims 2 are my favorite games after the Half-Life series...but it's depressing going back to play number one after having played TS2 for so long

I had a lot of fun with it for about a year. I never played Sims 2 much.

My brother, sister and I where adicted to it. My brother made his guy marry my sisters one and she went crazy, it was damn hilarious. They then started controlling them together but after a while my sister's character died in a fire.

It's REALLY Fun at first, then after a bit, I got bored...

Wait a year, rinse, repeat.
