Whatever happened to the two weeks of beta?

Hey guys, I have recently been wondering why Valve has chosen to continue letting play the CSS beta even after two weeks... They made it seem like it would go for two weeks then the game would be released in the coming weeks but now it doesn't look like that is gonna happen for a long time....

i never actually read anything that said it would only go for 2 weeks. IIRC that was speculation, as some many things are here, and are taken for fact

well since probably the game is ready.. they are tuning it so that no major bugs will be in the game.. thats probably why they still have the beta

The game is ready, Erik Johnson stated in response to why the download was huge: "We're preloadeding the rest of CS Source."

Luckily Valve can't even close the beta without delays . Who would have thought that a delay would work in our favor.

It's not really a delay...they never gave an exact date other than a few weeks. Besides, you can't put a time limit on bugs

You can't put a timelimit on VALVe at all.
Still love them though.

The beta wont end. it will just continue to run untill cs:s goes retail then if you bought it you can play and if you didnt buy it...well the beta will
end.

I'm guessing that CS:S will continue to be available all the way up until release.

just if i could get a damn video card, I am about to forget the x800xtpe which i have been waiting for for 3 months, and just go pick up a 6800GT and save some $$$
