I've been thinking about buying one of the new Alienware ALX systems, but I need to know whats more important a Dual Processor, or Dual vid cards?. Sadly, I can't add both and that would be WAY to expensive. Also, the processor options are 3.8 Ghz w/ 2MB Cache, and 4.0 Ghz w/ 1MB Cache, although the former costs more (guessing because of the 2MB cache) is that the better choice in terms of performance?. Sorry, I'm new to building custom PCs, anyway, thanks :)

You really wanna pay that much for a PC? Build one yourself, it isn't hard, and it'll be a fraction of the cost.

I hate buying pre-built machines, it makes it so that you don't know how to fix it. Yeah there isn't a warranty, but when you have to go to support, the guys there don't know how to fix it either when you call them.

When you build your own system you do have a warranty on everything you purchase. It's easy to build your system and at least you know what you have. I say get a new PCI-E Motherboard (I like ASUS) for an 939 Pin AMD 64 bit Processor (FX-53 should be fine), ATI X850 Video Card (out in about a month), PC Power PSU (the best), Two Gigs of Memory (Corsair XMS Matched Pair), Maxtor Maxline III 16MB Buffer Hard Drive and a case with good airflow. This will stomp on anything you can buy off the rack.
