War of the Worlds was quality, the well known story about it was that it was broadcast on the radio, and people thought it was real who tuned in half way through and shit themselves thinking an invasion had begun. But that was a long time ago, you can buy the sound track to it though, i loved it! The chances from anyone coming from Mars is a million to one! ahhh good times.

Haha, you're assuming a lot of stupidity there. I loved the LotR movies, bought all extended editions. Harry potter I couldn't care less about, never touched the books. Hitch Hiker's Guide movie I'm cautiously optimistic about despite reading some negative comments.

This movie though, sounds like such a complete hollywoodification of the book that it just hurts. Tom Cruise? It's set in the US instead of England? Sounds pretty lame to me. So in my opinion, gathered from the information I've had access to, it will suck. May I have to revise my opinion after seeing it? Sure. Should anyone give a shit about my opinion? No. Do I deserve to get pushed into the category of book-worshipping whiners? No.
