I seem to be going to bed earlier and earlier (getting more sleep every day) yet i'm getting more and more tired... I'm getting tired earlier every day and just never have energy to do anything during the day...

Is this a medical condition? I think i'm ill with something :(

Ah well I'm off to bed. Any help would be appreciated, i'll be back on tomorrow unless I slip into hibernation.

Are you a happy guy? could be depression, or you might not be eating properly. Other than that, who knows....

Its probably depression....I've been this way for over a year...it sucks.

same.... :\ it's gotten to the point where i'm just always tired :\

I think its most likely that you're oversleeping. It has a similar effect on you compared to undersleeping.

EDIT: But it could be any of a range of medical conditions, anemia etc.
Are you eating a balanced diet?

go to the doc for a blood test?maybe your just bored?that can lead to tiredness

I'm going to side with bliink's first suggestion. You're probably oversleeping. Hell, I've been doing it for the past two weeks or so.

Beats the shit out of insomnia though. I had that for about a week.

Beats having nausea and shits for 3 months
(don't ask)

oversleeping makes you more tired than undersleeping.

Whats wrong with sleeping all the time? It's fun especily if you have a cute snuggle buddy to sleep with ;)

Depends how old you are. If you are fully grown, Im assuming you are, then you need only about 8 hours of sleep. I am assuming you are not in a highstress job otherwise you would not have time to sleep. Its best to try and have a routine, ie out of bed by a certain time, to sleep a certain time.

Some people who get depressed just never get out of bed. Or leave the house - they don't want to face the world. Does not sound like this.

The other thing is to make sure you have sufficient iron in your diet, as lack of iron can lead to tiredness. Meat is the best source of iron, or iron pills. You need to eat a whole vegetable garden every day to get enough iron from vegetables.

That said, perhaps see your local doctor and tell him what the problem is. His simple check up may show problems none of us would ever consider. Or her if your doctor is female.

Spinich isn't too bad for iron, red meat is good though.
Veggies often have iron deficiency, but with more modern cereals having added iron its not too bad.

It is also hapenning to me right now. I went to spleed at 9:00 pm yesterday and I woke up this morning ill and tired as I've never been. Today in gym, I had to fall down because I was too tired. And I am a healthy man.

Thanks for the replies guys...

I'm not that depressed any more ... well, i've been a lot worse the past year and that never affected me like this.

I didn't know there was such a thing as oversleeping. It could be this... about a week ago I did a 4 day and 4 night stretch of hardcore working with no sleep, but I was fine after that... maybe my sleeping pattern is more damaged than I thought.

I don't want to go to the docs, every time I go there he prescribes antibiotics, regardless of what the problem is. I'm sure he's clueless. If it gets worse i'll consider it.

I guess if it is oversleeping I should just stay outta bed and maybe work out a bit more. That's gonna be hard to do in my current state though :(

I already have a balanced diet so I don't think its any deficiency ... and i'm very sure I don't have aids...

by doc, do u mean psychologist, psychiatrist, medical doctor, or what? I think seeing a psychologist would be best to talk about some things that might be bothering you that u cant discuss with anyone else (we all have skeletons in our closet). A psychologist can always later refer u to a psychiatrist if he thinks you need drugs to solve your sleep problems.

Really, its all about getting in good habits. apparantly, it takes about 21 days to form a habit that you will keep. if u get to bed at a reasonable hour and get your 8 hours of sleep and wake up early, in 3 weeks youll feel great and wont be oversleeping anymore.

its just that ur probably in a rut from not having an organized sleep schedule.

Medical doctor ... I think the system is different over here.

I usually go to bed at 5am and wake up at 12pm (unless ive had to get up earlier for college/uni/etc). That's a habbit i've had since I was about 17, and its been fine. The only problem here is that this habbit is falling apart and I don't have any explanation as to why. I guess since it's easter holidays and I'm having a bit of a break from Uni work, oversleeping seems to be the best bet. A complete lack of exercise probably isn't helping either :dozey:

I have a stuffed snake to sleep with. Sometimes it wakes me up by strangling me.

Going through puberty sucked. All of a sudden all you want to do is sleep and jerk off.

But i once knew a guy who apparently went through it twice. Quite a hairy person.

I feel tired 90% of the time and I barely do anything. Doesn't stop me doing allniters on a frequent basis though :)

really?

Iron deficiency is possible.

Most likely, though, is a lack of exercise. How much do you do a day? How active are you?

For all I know, that could mean you're sitting on the same cheeto-stained couch that you have been for the past 5 years.

 I'm not the most active person in the world, but nothings changed to cause this sleeping upset... which is making me think its an illness. It's funny, I've been waking up naturally at 6am for the past couple of days, I've not done that since I was a kid. I think maybe my system is trying to sort itself out, it's maybe rebelling against being nocturnal.

Guess my leet haxoor days are over :P

Hate the cheeto-stained couch not.

I don't know if this will help but, I felt exactly like you yesterday and now I'm sick. I feel tired, I have problems to breathe and I feel really really weak and dizzy. I've also took the day off. Maybe you're just sick... I don't know how many times this has been affecting you. For what I know, I would say take it relax, don't do any excessive works and take hot baths. Eat a lot of fruits (put them in the blinder with juice, it is easier for your body to digest and need less effort). I've done that and I'm already feeling better.

My symptoms exactly, along with the broken sleeping pattern ... I'm sure it's just an illness so I was asking here if anyone else knew about it. Thanks for the advice :)

I'll get some juice and take a nice long bath, now that you mention it, the idea sounds really good.

Maybe you've just fecked up your sleep cycle by going to bed at different times.
Yea , that problem happend to me when i was going to bed at different times. ( 1 AM , 6 AM , 5 PM ) it just fu**ed up :P

excersize, consistantly schedualed 8 hour intervals of sleep, eat healthy, and besides that do stuff you like. also it could be allergies, some people get tired when the antihistamine blockers from allergy medicing take effect, like me i feel super spaced out and tired because i am sick and on top of that my allergies are bothering me, but then the meds kick in.

It could just be that you're sick. I caught a cold last weekend and felt like crap. I had a full nights sleep and then I took a nap in the middle of the day and didn't wake up for 7 hours
