I'm answering the question. My favourite place to chat with friends is the pub. When I read the thread title it didn't even occur to me to me to vote for a method of communication using the internet and I thought it was a little bit sad when I opened it and there were only internet-related options (and very limited at that what with the numerous instant messenger programmes, chatrooms, forums and social networking websites in existance, not to mention email).
