I'm gonna cut apart the lead and see if I can fix it myself. If you don't see me in an hour, it's dead for good. If you don't see me in a week, I'm dead from electrocution.

Wish me luck ;(

Well that's stupid! Don't be stupid! Buy a new battery!

If you don't make it back, goodbye Stig. I'll always remember you.

For about a week.

What's it got to do with dogs?

Stigmata is dead!

...dead tired of not cutting the lead apart himself!

I think he's just ****ing with us and he's really gone on holiday for a week.

Don't worry, it's a battery. It retains a charge for a while!

I'M BACK

on my roommate's laptop for one minute!

So it turns out I was right, the lead on the charger had undergone work hardening. When I cut away the rubber around the lead, the plug fell right out. And a pretty good amount of the actual wire had been pulverised into dust by the work hardening. So... yeah. If anyone wants to mail me a wall charger for an LG R500 laptop, that'd be great :D

It'll be at least a couple weeks before I can afford a new one, thanks to my horrible poor-ness.

So yeah, that's the update. Carry on. I'll be around sometime next week when I borrow my roommate's laptop again!

Oh, I'll get right on that for you Stigmata, just give me your address.

Fix it!!!!!
Cut it shorter to get to good wire, and summon electronic gnomes to magic it better.

I summoned the gnomes, just like you said, but they didn't fix my power adapter. Instead they led me to the computer lab in the public library. Damn foreig- er, people who are different from me.

I'm considering trading in my laptop to get a new motherboard for my computer, which would fix basically all my computer problems. I'd keep the laptop hard drive, get my old PC's media back, regain the use of Reason, and be able to play TF2. Yea/nay?

Might as well. Do you really need the laptop? Is it that much of a necessity? As nice as it is to have two computers, I'd rather you be on your desktop where we can pwn n00bz in TF2 like the old days. :D

Oh hell yes sir, I will bonk you all night long.

This exact same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, so I disappeared.

DAMN LAPTOPS.

My laptop is now listed on Craigslist. I decided once and for all, I really don't need a second computer. I should have a new motherboard by Monday.
