When i get flashed banged my screen goes to pruple and black squares for a few seconds.

anyone know how i can rslove the problem?

Turn around.

Kidding - I don't even know what game you're talking about. What's it supposed to look like? My guess is it's a bit of overload for your video card.

Yes, seems to me to be a graphics problem, update gfx drivers(get a better gfx if sucky)
Also a I think you can just get out of it by changing your cfg like set your mat_dxlevel to a lower level - 90 is biggest and then 81, 80, 70 60

There are other commands but try that first :)

When i get flashbanged i can see my desktop, maybe i should put a plan of the map on my background so when i get flashed i can see where iam.

That happens to me every once in a while.

One of the computers at my school has a screwed graphics card that doesn't render flashbangs at all :p I love playing with that com.

I think that it's damn cool when that happens. It used to happen to me, but it stopped when i switched drivers. Isn't there a way to willingly make it happen?

it only does it to me if im far away and get flashed

well when i get flashed my fps goes from 70ish to 25ish, prolly normal

Meh, No fps drop really in Flashbangs for me, but never had a problem with flashbangs (like bugs or anything) .... just hate it when im playing it at about 3:00am and i get flashed, kills the eyes completely.

Not normal. If anything it should increase :p.

Do you have Bloom/HDR on? because that really slowed my computer to a halt whenever I was flashed.

Suprisingly enough I get no fps drop when I get flashed, and this is my shitty pc!

I expect it's the HDR one. Really. Because even though bloom isn't in CSS I expect it'll try and think of how it will render with bloom and totally slow your computer down.

But if it's still happening and you've turned HDR off then I don't know.

no, that wont happen. if its not rendering anything new/special, why would it slow down?

when I get flashed my monitor turns white and then I cant see sh*t and then some1 kills me! it's really irritating

Calculating how it can display the white colour as a white that's brighter than the maximum.

It will happen.. MWHAHA

That's because your monitor is too old to render the actual flash-bang effects.
Also if you notice any ringing in your speakers, it means your soundcard is too old to handle the sounds.

Sorry.

damn, yeah I hear that ringing too... thought I got something wrong with my ears and went to see a doctor

gotta burn my crappy pc

I got Tinitus, I believe it was from being flash banged to much :(

Tinitus = Constant buzzing sound in the ear

Time to sue Valve!

ya i have bloom and hdr on...just in case.lol ya ill turn em off and see what happens. i didnt think that hdr/bloom could effect play w/o an hdr optimised map
