When I install new drivers..

Uninstall the old ones if you can, and then use a driver cleaner of some sort to be sure. Always do this, because drivers can interfere with each other and cause mishaps.

I just uninstall the current drivers using Device Manager, reboot if needed, install new ones, reboot if needed, ta-da. Nice and updated.
