when i load a game, the ai completely ignores me

here is a screenshot of what i'm talking about.
this has happened to me twice so far in the route canal level
if i die, i have to restart the whole level. it's really annoying since this level is pretty long.
any help would be appreciated.

running a:
2.6+ amd not overclocked. no pun intended
200 gig hard drive(s)
1 gig ram
nVIDIA geforce fx 5200 ultra
onboard sound
gigabyte 7n400 r.2
latest mboard and vid card drivers with directx 9.0c

this is just after the man hacks and just before the spinning water grate.
right where you get your first smg.
normally this guy would drop down on a rope

if you need more proof i'll go get some but the load times are horriable so i'll just stick with this one for now

I don't see a screenshot? Anyway, is this a warez copy of the game? Because warez copies seem to have problems with the AI. If it is a legit copy I suggest validating your Steam GCF files, put this in your address bar of your browser:

steam://validate/220

I Had This Problem Once Myself.
I Think This Should Work:

1: Open The Console By Pressing ( ~ ) Button.
When Console Opens Type: "AI_DISABLE 0"

Or

2: Open The Console By Pressing ( ~ ) Button.
When Console Opens Type: "AI_DISABLE" Then Type "AI_RESUME"
By Doing This, You Manually Disable & Enable AI

(+) You've Been Watched & Selected By Sniper (+)
