When I try and update steam I get this error....

"Unable to connect to steam network 'Offline Mode' is unavailable because there is no steam info stored on this computer (which there is)

"You will not beable to use steam until you can connect to the network, please check steampowered.com/status"

and when I go there it says steam network is up and running..? then why cant i connect?

PS: i disabled all my firewalls

I am having exactly the 'same' problem. I thought it was just me, but obviously this is some sort of Bug. Anyone know the solution?
