Where did all you guys come from ?

I keep looking through the forums here and expecting to see lots of names that I recognise but so far theres only one (lo SM :thumbs ..... cos I kinda assumed (wrongly it would seem) that many of you would be current or ex HL players eager for the next installment

So where did you all come from ? Lots of CS players ?

If there are any people here that still play the original HL we have a league that still runs on barrysworld servers over at www.hlccl.com and quite an active forum community where we still manage a weekly discussion (war between some people) about the pro's cons of A3D sound.

I do hope its not alot of CS players
I stopped playing DoD like a year ago. CS far before that. And HL much before far ago
I come from BF1942. That's the easiest description anyway. Didnt like its moddability, though it was neat to create the Huey helicopter physics for EoD.

I will maybe play HL again though, since my PSU fried and I'm on a PII233 with a Riva 128, HL is one of the few games I have that I might be able play

Lo Dilbs, am from the "original" HLCCL community but kinda parted when it became independant / Barrysworld.

Too many w**kers in the community for my liking.

Aye we do have our fair share of d**kheads now I am afraid, although theres still a core of decent people in the community imo and that makes it worthwhile and were slowly but surely getting rid of the bad eggs atm

I still lan play half life. But im more of a Quake III UT, UT2003 kinda guy.

I know Jackup from the Nvidia forums and a few others from the Unreal forums and even a few from the anandtech forums.

Ach, at the time when HL came out i didnt have a fast enough internet connection to play online. When i evenutaly did i didnt like HL multiplaye, deathmatch just aint my style.

I played CS from the very first beta, my mate got his hands on it somehow and we played it on a LAN. At the time it wasnt widely mentioned so we never saw it for a while untill about beta 5 or something like that. Played ever since.

I would like to play other games online, i like Army Ops and like the IDEA of Raven-Shield but the cominuty for it is awfull and there are too many cheaters which realy makes me lash out and want to him them sometimes :flame:

P.S. I realise CS for alot of players is a deathmatch game, but when your in a clan and realy only play on 16 player LANs with good honest people it realy is a tactical game.

I occassionaly play original Hl but not much. And under a different name to everything else. My original name NeXuS. I play DoD, i dont play CS, stopped that a while ago. I play TFC quite a bit and ive also got into BF1942 again. In that my name is just Farrow. I also play Rocket Crowbar under the name Farrow or FarrowLeSparrow. (That is a fun fun mod that should have done better)

But i've gotten to know a few people and its always good to see the old faces around and about....

I pritty much, recognise everyone who's everposted in Models & Skins and most of the old faces in here...and I always look out to see if i bump into any of them while gaming
