I haven't seen or heard anything from our Vice President regarding this issue. Has he issued a statement or even begun touring New Orleans? If he hasn't done anything yet, it shows just how cold his heart is.

Well, with the lack of response, one might think he is.

I've looked for news stories that have something from the VP but I haven't found anything. Rice and Rumsfeld have both toured the site but not even our own VP?

Found him

He's off eating innocent children or something.

I'm no supporter of the Bush administration, but does no news automatically need to equal bad news?

Yes.

Actually, No news = no news. Which is bad enough, really.

Well, I don't know. Is he normally vocal? I don't think I've ever seen him on Tele.

I'd imagine he's working on other issues that crop up administration wise while Bush does the Katrina thing. I'd rather not all administration of the rest of the nation stop during that time, hence what a VP's job is for.

he's obviously way too busy to give 5 minutes of his time, maybe he's busy with OPEC relaxing in a warm bath of oil.

Yeah, he's supposed to take care of that but I haven't even seen a statement issued through his people. With a disaster of this magnitude, he should have at least said something. I mean, this guy has the opportunity to be our President if Bush was killed. He should act like presidential material.

I'm not asking for the entire nation to stop, I'm just asking for a statement from the VP.

Since President Bush is back in the White House pushing Roberts' nomination, Cheney should be down in New Orleans helping. :|
