Where will you play HL2?

If Youve got very active / inquisitive children youll understand why ive done this, A purpose built shed (Log cabin) to play games / model / Get pissed and listern to music ;)

totaly fire proofed / insulated / sound proofed... the ultimate games hide away IMHO....

Hoooo yea and some were to hide when the wife is in a mood (painters are in )...

ok ive probley gone over the top with what ive created but lets see were you guys are going to relax / chill and play HL2..

Ps ....If you look at this Gabe think i deserve one of thouse lovley HL2 T shirts...;)

I would never have my PC in a shed outside! its to break-in-able!
 
that is one sweet gaming getaway. I like the interior a lot.

EDIT: PS, I have the same computer case as you. What do you think to it?

its allarmed and 3 of the biggest locks you can find its insurance passed (fully insured).

Acctualy its more seccure than my house.
you dont honestly think ide have put my gear out there without thinking of these sort of issues m8 :)

Nice setup, just make shure you keep the door locked. No unwanted visitors, unless they can tell you how to get past level 3 :E

Thanx for all the comments guys, Ive had it built for about 6 months now but only just got the pictures developed.
It already cost me 3 months off work (fell out of the door way and broke my ankle)..
 
Im my house where my pc is :p I use headphones but by the time HL2 is out i'll be living in a detached house so i can unwrap my speakers :D
 
I would play it in a Sealed Nuclear Bunker (That is packed with food and toilet paper), so that I am not disturbed
 
Wow, that is one of the best things that I have ever seen.. Many times have I wanted to retreat to my own little PC bunker.

But I sure hope you have a wireless router, and make sure everything is sealed enough so that water can't leak through when it rains.

Oh, and when HL2 comes out, I will imediatly install it on the computer in my own, and I will get four bags of chips and make ten sandwhiches and put them in a bag, and also I will grab twenty-five bottles of coke and store it all in my room, so I will never have to leave.

I might need a cup to piss in as well, that way I won't have to leave my room to go to the potty.

WOW from outside its just a normal shed to the "untrained eye" but inside it looks like any other room

I'm gonna play in my room and make a pillow wall covering my door so my parents assume I'm not in the room. I'll have all my junk food, drinks, and toilet paper in my closet and I'll use the window as my waste dispenser (including NATURAL waste). I'll leave a sign on my door saying "Shut up". And an attitude to keep people away from me for a while. :D

I have been thinking/planning a lot lately about building an extention to my house just to use as a LAN gathering / entertainment room. Your shed is near perfect, I wouldn't have done it any different except try to make the place a tad bigger, to fit a TV and maybe few more computers =). I was thinking about building a garage so my friends can just come in and park right behind me and game with me.

I've already got the nice tables and fridges... I just need to find out how much this is gonna cost. I was also wanting a garage door opener to give to a couple of close friends so they can just open up and come hang out whenever they want.
 
sheesh you guys must be millionares i could never afford a seperate lan room but if i could i'd probably either put it in the game room of my house or do an extention to my house for the lan room, but right now i'll be playing half life2 right in my room where my shitty computer is
 
down with "up to date" hardware all i need now is my outdated graphics card which it's company stopped making drivers for and a little corner where my computer is, that's how and where i'll be playing half life 2
 
depends on how I feel. Perhaps in my room, perhaps in the barn loft(depends on where I can turn it up).

400watts of HL2! :E

i'd like to have something like that as well.. but its not in the plans right now.. (who knows in the future :E )

btw.. im wondering how it is when u have been gaming in there for say 2 hours.. do u have a ventilation system or window u can open so theres some air circulation? didn't notice a window..

i imagine it gets pretty hot in there in the summers.. hm..

i have 2 extraction fans built into the front and side of the shed, So like you say after a couple of hours of hard gameing i just yank the 2 cords and all the bad air is sucked out.
No windows built into the project (stops the nasty people form takeing a peek).

the whole project cost me about £700 quite cheap considering the materials used :)
Thanx have to got to the wifes Dad for helping out big time the wife for been so understanding and the kids for not tramping mud in and out ;)
it took about 1 month to construct and 2 week ends to build.
 
For those of you who live in the Mid-West, play it in a storm celler, that way you can still play whilst your roof have flown off.
 
You know where I'm gonna play Half-Life 2, on my computer!!

I'll be playing it at my desk that's too low and in my semi-crappy chair.

Wow, that's a very kewl desk!
Now lets accesorize,
1.you need a fridge left of your keyboard, within arms reach :cheers:
2.remove old style lamp, and install desklighting (preferably blue) under the desk. Ricer rider stylee :E
3.Next to the white monitor install 70cm widescreen TV.
4.Install this sucker infront of the keyboard for maximum ass confort. :thumbs:

Now your ready for non stop gaming/sleeping all in the same place, all you need to get up for is snacks and toilet stops :naughty: ;)

Just watch those pounds grow on you like fur on a bunny :E
 
This isn't what I'll be playing HL2 on, but it's what I'm usin for the time being. New computer in the making, new desk, chair, carpet, everything... blah

The magnet on the fridge: VIDEO GAMES Why waste good technology on science and medicine?

Moving the rig to the room back home.

So look at my ghetto desk with my cool ass rig... and mentally transport my computer to my nice clean smelly-good room back home.
