I just installed steam and it supposedly converted my hl game files to steam format ad all that, but when I turn steam on and try to find HL in the menu it's not there. The only game avilable is that 2D Gordon Freeman game. How do I get HL to show up in my steam menu to be playable? Same goes for CS also.

when I open steam and go to "play games" it doesn't show HL or OpFor or CS. How do I get them into th steam menu? It's as if the program doesn't know I own those games, even though it already supposedly converted them into steam format.

I'm beginning to agree with you there. I just don't understand why the games I own aren't listed in the steam menu. It worries me that that kind of flaw happens. I paid for these games long ago, and now steam is acting like I don't own them! It's like, WTF?!

haha, now that sucks, I can't relate with you because I haven't been having anything except really great workings with Steam, I am not havinga single problem.. maybe go browse games and select your HL.exe ;)

Have you tried pressing the "Register a product I already own" key and entering your CD key into that?

Er, hello? You don't get the games for free. You've got to enter your CD key or buy them.
