I'm getting a gf6800 agp but i dont know which brand i sould go for. the asus one is AU$310 and the leadtek one is AU$299. so which one sould i get?

also, is unlocking the pipelines possible? if so, how do you do it?

thanks

They're pretty much identical, based on the same board and all. I'd go for the cheaper option, not forgettin to check what warranty each offers.

And I don't think you can unlock pipelines at all on the newer cards, they cripple and sabotage them completely, unlike the older cards where they are simply disabled.

I hope I'm wrong

Personnaly, I'd go with leadtek, they do a real good job with cooling.....

accutlly ur wrong they still can unlock some of them just depends on if u get a card with pipes damaged or not

I would recommend Leadtek for I have heard that Asus is terrible at videocards whereas they are awesome with motherboards and whatnot.

Of course we do. They own. They are such a great company. I haven't heard too much from them as of late.

Doesn't really matter, really... I prefer Leadtek, but eh...

Leadtek, they are a more reliable video card manufacturer. I have had an Asus card and I hated it, and I have read reviews of other Asus cards that were bad as well.

Thanks for clearing that up man

And leave Asus to the motherboards, where they belong. :E

Get the cheaper card.
IDK I had an Asus card and it was good. They seem to go for quiet on some of their solutions which I like. Leadtek have some pretty nice cooling on them, even if sometimes it's a bit loud. Good for OCing.

If you have an Asus video card, I will suspect you of cheating in CS! jk
(if you havn't played HL games that long then you won't get it)

meh. like the same thing, get which ever has a better software package
