Which company do you prefer for notebooks?

I'm trying to figure out which company would be a better decision for a notebook PC, either Dell or Toshiba. Let me know what you think please.

Toshiba is usualy cheaper, in terms of cost and quality. For some reason, problems are attracted to them. One of my friends just bought one and after a few days one of the speakers broke! I never had any major problems with a dell notebook.

As we sell Toshiba at Compusa, they have had a very good track record. Much better than Compaq/HP yet up there with sony. It seems most of what our repair shop gets in is Dell's actually...funny because we obviously don't sell Dell PCs.

Dell, the XPS is a friggin desktop computer...***ns way better than some desktop computers...recieved a lot of magazine awards, maimum pc's best laptop of the year

Unfortunatly that thing is huge, but other then that its a great laptop. Might be out of your price range though sedako.

I have owned both toshiba and dell laptops but unfortunalty I cannot give you an opinion on them because I did not use them that much. One thing you should know is that dell writes their own bios .
