Better not make a poll out of this, as I will leave lots of countries out, at which people till be pissed and start hating me.

I am sitting with a brand of Swedish beer and thinking about how shitty it tastes. Seriously, it's awful. Which country do you think produces the best beer?

I'm going with Austria. Or possible Germany.

I will say the UK.

I'm not biased, honest, I just prefer Ales and Bitters over lagers.

Germany is probably the best for lager beers, definitely in variety anyway.

Germany, from what I've had. Though my city in the USA has good microbrews. Supposedly anyway, I don't drink much because I'm underage and I generally dislike alcohol regardless.

I'm not too impressed with Czech beer, but I've only really had budvar and a couple of others.
Not familiar with Danish.

I have enjoyed Belgian beer.

I tried a beer in Turkey. ( I forgot the name )

It was 100% divine, I could drink that beer the rest of my life if I remembered the name.

Ale/bitter - UK am win.

For larger I personally favor Denmark.

I'd say either China (Tsingtao), France (Kronenbourg) or Belgium (Leffe).

All absolutely beautiful beers.

Germany, United Kingdom and of course, my mother land.

I dun drink

From the beer I've tried I'd say Germany, they make excellent wheat beer.

As a broad generalisation, lager is crap unless it's Eurpoean (although I really enjoy the odd U.K lager)

Beer-wise, the U.K has some damn fine ales and beers. Cask is where it's at. My favourite is Belhaven Best, although that is widely available, at least in Scotland.

As for Stout - well I can't see past Guinness, particularly Guinness Red, which I've only found in Stirling.

I would say UK, Germany or Denmark. French beer is not very nice. But then I don't really like beer anyway. I usually drink spirits, cider...hell, anything that's not beer.

Germany - Hands down :)

Good Shit

Infact, India also have some nice beers, Cobra and Tiger anyone?

I'm going to go with U.K., you can get some very nice Ale's here.

P.S. Fosters is not beer goddammit.

Efes! :D Lovely stuff.

The best country in the world is Illinois. Hands down. ;)

We have every climate here, and every type of storm, and we have half of St. Louis, we have Chicago, and most of lake Michigan. What's not to love?

Btw, you have to come to St. louis and get a gooey butter cake. They are delicious! The arch may not sound like much, but holy **** is it a sight. You get on the Arch grounds and it's beautiful. Grass cut perfectly, it's green all year. Sidewalks and steps go up to the base of the arch, and what could be at the base of the arch but a museum? I don't know. The whole thing is made out of steel. It's pretty amazing first hand. Trust me, I've been.

Funnel cake's good too, but I'm sure they have that at a lot of different places.

You puritan Sulkdodds.

I love beer.

Not just because I'm an alcoholic.

No, I enjoy all the different kinds of tastes, it's a wonderful world of beer.

Nobody mentioned Belgium? Blasphemy!

We officially make the best beer in the world. Seriously.

Haven't had my best beer yet, a lot of time to try :D

I'm going to drag you non-believing scum all the way to Belgium and go to the local ultra-pub, which serves 220 different kinds of Belgian beers. And I'm going to make you drink every single one before you get to leave or even sleep.

Australia. Fosters = win.

If I mention Foster's in a conversation to an Australian, they always say that it's rank and they can't believe that the Brits are such suckers to drink it.

In fact I'm wearing an T-Shirt now promoting the best Australian beers and I don't see Foster's on it.

I dunno why certain countries make so make better beer than others. Take Denmark and Sweden for example: Just a little water between and yet the change in beer is stunningly big.

Personally im a cider fan, so for me its Hunters or Magners, but if push comes to shove, i choose:

Carlsberg
or
Castle (South Africa).

I haven't travelled enough to taste all these wonderful kinds of beers, but to me there's nothing better than a fresh pint of Guinness draught.

Not the Guinness here in the USA though, it sucks compared to the authentic stuff.

Best beer I have ever got drunk on was called Piaste and it was a Polish beer made locally in a city called Wroclaw...
Really strong lager, gets you really pissed and makes you fire proof...Or I may have just been really flooky...heheh

Are we talking originating country, or country of brewery? In the latter case Fosters is a British beer.

Stella is my favourite beer, making Belgium the originating company, and the UK the country of the brewery.
