It's different in many contries, would be fun to know, please state where you come from.
EDIT: This poll begins with Monday only beacouse I consider the week to start at Mondays. Sorry.

:naughty: Umm I usually think it's Monday, sometimes I think it's Sunday. But for sure, the week is at it's peak starting on Friday.

Depends what aspect of my life :D For college, Monday is the start of the week though.

I don't work in weeks as such, it's more like "week"=school days and "weekend"=days without school. So I guess that on friday afternoon/evening the previous week ends and on monday morning the new one starts.

Monday... I mean... it's even in the name... MONday... MONO... ONE... then there's TWOsday...

In the dictionary sunday is defined as
The first day of the week
And monday is defined
As the second day.
Therefore, who really cares
What any of us 'consider'
To be the first day
Since by definition, Sunday is.

Anyone who weds someone named Nes is most likely on their third marriage?

Actually the MON is monday
Was originall Moon, its moon day
Tuesday was Tiw's day
Tiw is the god of war
Wednesday is Woden's day
And it goes on.

Sunday.

Here Monday is called the "2nd day", too hard to explain.

And Tues in Tuesday sounds like Juice, and that sounds like You, and you is the forth most common word in english.

Monday.

And to those who say "sunday" why do you think saturday and sunday are called the "weekend"? Because it's the start of the week?

Because the days are at either end of the week ;)

I was born on a monday though, so I guess that makes it the first day :D

Perhaps because we're smart?
Seriously.. read the dang dictionary.
By mere definition Sunday is first
Thats why we voted that.
You are oh so wrong. Its kinda annoying.

Because the days are at either end of the week
Wow, i never thought of it that way.
Good job. You're neat.
Heres a bunny: :imu:

It doesn't make any sense. Sunday is a resting day right? Why rest at the beginning of the week? And by christian beliefs Sunday was also the resting day for creation wasn't it?

But I'm partially right anyway, the working week starts at monday! Nanananana!

The day my week starts is when I am not drunk, which basically is never.

*voted Monday*

The work day starts on monday
Because of the christian sabbath
Not because its the first day
And actually, sunday shouldnt be the sabbath
It used to be saturday, but was changed
Durring the pagan era to blend in with them
They worshiped the sun on Sunday
God rested on Saturday. Thats the jewish sabbath.
Thats the last day of the week.

Hey, Ikerous... you know the question is what we CONSIDER the first day, right? No one is ****ing arguing that Sunday is actually the first day... for ****'s sake...

And "go read the dictionary"... hahaha... then the question is... why does the dictionary say it? :rolling:

I'm merely saying it doesnt matter
Which day we 'consider' to be the first
When clearly its Sunday.
Its not an opinionated matter
Thats like argueing whos taller
Some 4'2 midget or Shaq
If you consider the midget taller
Then you're just odd.
And wrong.

In sweden;
Monday is the day of the sun
Tuesday is the day of Tyr
Wednesday is day of Odin
Thursday is the day of Thor
Friday is the day of Freyja
Saturday is the day of bathing
Sunday is the day of the sun.

I know Sunday is properly the beginning of the week, here in Canada is it anyways, but Monday is really the start of the week for 90% of the people in this country...

The day school starts back, the day work starts back for most people, the day the mail starts again..the day the stores open again..well, in my province anyways, we don't have Sunday shopping yet...
