Ok so I been researching on steam and have so far bought: UT pack, GTA4, and Stalker and now I have around $30 left and a week left of deals.
I have a list of games I don't have but am not sure if any good deals will come out by next week. Here are a list of games should I wait or do you have an recommendations?

halflife
torchlight
DoD Source
Dark Messiah Might and Magic
Rome and Medieval II Total War

I plan to buy the following games if not more:
Oddworld Pack
Time, Gentlemen, Please! + Ben There, Dan That
Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood (Road to Hill 30 is good as well, but I played it already)
maybe Beyond Good and Evil too.

Make sure you grab Braid as well, if you don't already have it! It's so cheap it'd be a crime.

And of your choices so far I know that the Total War games are totally worth it, Dark Messiah is generally esteemed pretty good, Half-life should be owned by everyone on this forum, and I dont' see the point in the other too but that's just me.

EDIT: Oh! Get The Void.
EDIT2: And if you like adventure games, a quid off Broken Sword 3 ain't bad.

I'm heavily debating Trine. £7 seems to be the magic price for me, the moment a game goes below that, I will seemingly buy it automatically.

I've picked up the following so far:

L4D2
Chronicles of Riddick: blah blah blah
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Mirror's Edge

LMAO!!! This thread turned quickly from me asking advice to people telling what they have. Thats great

Hmm Do you think they will drop the price of Half-life, is torchlight worth it?, Braid didn't interest me, I looked that the screenies and though oh a puzzle game...,

Hmm in your opinion the best RTS for the price which people still play online?

halflife
torchlight
DoD Source

Buy these without hesitation... unless you have children to feed or something. I may go on an indie game buying rampage after dinner, I'm debating which ones I want.

I'm not an adult and thats not the problem. I have 30 or so dollars left to spend.

You have neither Half Life nor Dod Source?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I'd wait to see if any more special daily sales come up... like Mirror's Edge for 5 bucks yesterday was quite a steal.

Yes but is Mirror's Edge really that good, I heard it's linear so you can't just go off and jump skyscrapers all over.

it's definitely worth it, but it is linear. Still, i thought it was absolutely ace and easily one of the most uniquely visual games I've played in ages.

Mirrors Edge is a really good game, it is linear, but it's still awesome when you pull off one long smooth combo of jumps. Fighting is cool too.

I definitely recommend Mirror's Edge. The game is a good challenge, but it's a little short.

The running in ME is awesome, but the fighting parts are annoying as hell, so it might get boring after a while.

wohoo I just got Stalker:CS,Torchlight WiC and KotR.

now I can send my retail copy of Stalker,Mirror's (bought yesterday) and KotR to my cousin :)

oh god I just bough the ID pack...that's all I can buy in good conscience...unless my uncle whom I just spent $30 on so has wireless Internet decides to buy at least 1 game.

WIC or COH
Also how upgradeable are the units in WIC. I might get C&C instead because from what I know the units are quiet upgradeable. :)

World in Conflict is amazing. It's destruction porn at it's best. Also, Alec Baldwin narrating is something all games must have.

The units in WiC aren't upgradeable at all, from what I remember. I thought CoH was a lot better especially with the additions from the first expansion pack.

WiC is the only RTS that has ever held my interest long enough to be finished. I loved the fact it did away with the base building/resource gameplay and let you concentrate on controlling your units and blowing shit up.
