Which lcd tv is good?

My dad is trying to buy an LCD TV that is 32" wide, but there are so many tvs out there. what are the features to look out for when buying one? the contrast ration has to be 3000:1 or above and the resolution must be 1366 * 780.

I have a Sharp 32" Aquos LCD HDTV and it's awesome. Look for a good contrast ratio (like you mentioned) and a good response time. For decent brands, consider: Sharp, Sony, and Samsung.

Loads better than any other make, go into a shop and look at the differences in quality.
