I just recently got a job !!! Woot. And For my first paycheck im going to buy a Kick ass monitor, cause I have a OLD...yes really OLD dell 15" crt. Im looking for a black 17" or 19" kick ass CRT monitor flat screen. For a Good price. And I dont know much about mointors, so can anyone help? :cheese:

this monitor is one of the most kickass 19" CRT's. just bought one for a friend because so many people recommended it.

and for the first post are you sure 250 bucks is worth a it i mean i dont use my comp A LOT just for random games and i'll play HL2 A LOT. maybe 2 hours a day of computer usage so....Will that same monitor but 17" work just as good and is worth it ?

just depends if you like 17" or 19". most gamers prefer 19" nowadays which is why i suggested that one. im not really in the know currently for a good 17"

Well since I have a Job now this is what im doing

I have a pretty decent PC:

Athlon 3000+ 333 fsb
Radeon 9600 pro 256mb, 128-bit
180 GB HD
40 GB HD
250 watts PSU
512 pc3200 ram

and I am slowly buying PRETTY much the best of the best of computer specs right now, going to build new 99% todays BEST computer
(well starting next week..PAYDAY) !

And I have a 15" and really never used 19" so I am REALLY thinking of buying one, but DAMN is it really worth 270 bucks?? I mean come on for a CRT ?

its ok, but 1280x1024 @ 80Hz = bleh imo. id get a monitor with at least 85hz. the good thing about the one i quoted was 1600x1200@85hz which extremely good. if you run high resolutions at <85hz its not healthy for your eyes.

and the viewsonic perfectflat is actually not perfectly flat. just look at their reviews. the one i quoted is truly flat.
