Do you think the AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 3800+, 2.4 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - Retail is better then the AMD 64 FX-53?

AMD 64 fx-53 is the better processer.

Not in all situations, if you look at the Xbit link Asus gave out, certain benchmarks show the 3800+ better.

The reason the 3800+ won some benchmarks was because they were on different boards. And Xbitlabs review had the Socket 940 version (not the 939) so it had registered memory which adds some latency.
The A64 FX 53 has a full 1MB l2cache. The rest of the specs are the same.

FX53 > 3800+

the only reason why I would want a G5 is so that I could sell it and buy a FX-53 lol

no the g5 is.

Sure...
Comparison - Not the best test though.
And that's running on Apple's 32bit (with 64bit extensions) OS X vs Windows 32bit OS.
The fastest G5 I see is a 2GHz (Dual configuration) from Apple's site. FX-53 (and Dual Opteron 250) is a 2.4GHz CPU.

:)
