which to blame?

I have a gf2 mx 400, very crappy, and 1.7 ghz cpu, i know they'll suck w/ hl2, but which is to blame? i heard a forum with a guy having a 1.5 ghz cpu and a radeon 9800 pro, everyone said that the card will make up for the slow cpu, is that true?

Yes, if you get a better, card, it will be MUCH better. But also, how much RAM do you have?

by the way would my gf2 mx work if i turn everything into low quality and play in 800x600 or something? cuz i still have to wait til chinese new year til i get enuf money for a 9800 pro

GF2 mx is as crappy as it gets... Seriously. If youre running winxp (which I presume youre doing) you'll want 512+ ram no matter what.

A 9800pro should be able to handle the "high" settings, without too much AA, AF and 1600x1200 res though.
