I was thinking today about all the different worlds that people have made up in books, movies, and videogames. If you had to choose one world to live in which would it be? Im 17 now and i havent watched dragon ball Z in years but i always wanted to live in that world.

everything is too perfect in movies.. that would be annoying, i would like to live in books. You get so much into books sometimes that it feels like your really in it.

Half-life 2...I want to be opressed...err wait that is pretty lame. I would live in...I have no idea...somthing where I wouldn't die....nah that is boring...hmm... I have no idea....

the Matrix (I know the Matrixmanio is outfashioned but still is funny joke)

I will like in a world ala the lords of the rings but the true I dont know is har to choose

the problem is, just about any fantasy world that you would live in, if you weren't one of the main characters, there is a good chance that you would die.
i mean, a little bad luck, you are in the matrix, as, say, a swat team member or office-building rentacop.

hmm, think I would want to live in hyrule, but only if it played the music when I was walking around... Ah the adventure!

Star Wars or Tri-Island area (Monkey island series)..Im Guybrush Threepwood..mighty pirate..ARGH!

You post like a dairy farmer.

haha what a good idea. it would be cool to live in the tri island area

damn lucasarts and damn starwars games

*burnzie shakes fist

I would live in the world of Naruto. Its an amazing world where you train to be a ninja :D

"My 98-year-old grandmother has bigger arms than you!" :D

Star Trek of course, the only place you can be lazy, do nothing, and get everything handed to you on a plate (or a replicator to be more precise)

On 2nd thought, maybe on Red Dwarf, or in Futurama.

Futurama would rock. red dwarf would get boring and lonely

Yeah, but we both got better bladder control than you.

:D

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I accidently chosed Star Wars when I in a split second noticed that there was a Spaceballs option! :O

Its ties between middle earth and world of warcraft (i wanna get into that beta SOOO much), but i hav to go with middle earth, bless my little hobbit feet!

i wanna be a valiant knight, fighting the forces of darkness, become a hero, and NEVER have to do homework :D i wanna discover new worlds and slay goblins :p

I changed my mind, I want to live in the Matrix so I can upload any konfo, winsho style to my brain and experience the SUPERMAN flying style. KIK ASS

Star Wars...so much to see, so many enviorments on different planets..and space ships too :D

Exactly! Oh well, i voted for everquest(2) because it's a creative and colorful world filled with cool stuff :)

Hey, I voted Fraggle Rock, but the vote's not showing up and it won't let me vote again...

Morrowind.....Come on, its not every day that you get to twat people over the head with a Iron Warhammer for a Job!

The world of Morrowind, without the RPG Rule system, and more interaction with the locals. Yep go to the nearest Tavern

Easy answer, The Matrix, kickin' ass and looking good, can't complain about that.

Dragon Ball, I could get it on with Videl :hmph:

Half-Life 2 world for me. Would be awesome to be part af the resistance.

Hey, that's what I will be doing in HL2! Cool!

I voted for Aliens, thinking of the movie Aliens...

Anyway, Aliens are fun to shoot with cool weapons!

Yep.

Wow...this is immense.

I'd say anything from William Gibson, Masamune Shirow, Neal Stephenson, stuff of that nature.

Middle-Earth, Then I could actually live like Ranger alone in the wilderness. Thats something I have always desired.

i picked westworld only cuz yul brenner makes a cool cowboy android

oh btw tons of choices i could have picked at least a dozen

Baldurs Gate, aka Forgotten Realms.

I have played DnD for many years and I think Forgotten Realms is a great campaign setting. Besides the concept of true names is kinda fun.

I just finished NWN:HotU by finding out the True Name of the bad guy and just told him to die.

... lara croft :stare:

edit: actually, I'd pick arcanum if it were on the list, I think thats one of the best made RPGs around, the only flaw I can think of is purely graphic related, since its sort of diablo2 style isometric view. Its an awesome game, anyway, so much customization, you could play as a gnome with no fighting skills whatesoever if you wanted to. just make sure you got a good party :p

oh, and the setting's not bad either :p

Baldur's Gate or Amn (specifically Athkala)

man, i must have poured over 200 hours into those games :|
