I've been considering selling my xbox 360 for a ps3. I know that tere have been probably a few threads like this all ready, and that people may say "xbox is awesome! ps3 sucks!" because they have said console, but which is truly superior? I mean, I've gotten the rrod twice from it, and I'm a little pissed off with this. Plus, I keep hearing about the game "metal gear solid 4" being the second coming of christ. Which console is truly worthy of being mine?

P.S.- No Wii! I am sick of the goddam wii! I played a few games, and I hate the controllers! Please, oh please, do not ask about the wii!:flame::sniper:

It is true that most xbox 360 games I play are for the ps3(call of duty, assassin's creed, soon-to-be-bioshock.) Also, grand theft auto 4 is for it right? I may get the console, but only if gears of war 2 isn't for the PC. And about the wii, I never liked nintendo systems. I don't really know why. Maybe it's because it seems to be a more child-oriented system.

PS3 by leaps and bounds i have all the consoles and a PC. So I'm giving you the reasons.

YES Metal Gear Solid 4 is worth a PS3 a lone. But here it goes.

Do you have a PS1 that up converts its games to be insanely clear? No but its in the PS3...
Do you have a PS2 that does the same? Get a 80gb and play most games find a 60gb and play all.
Do you have a Blu-ray player? No well here you go future proofing yourself.
Do you have a very good DVD player? Well its in there.
How about a home theater media player. Play all your downloaded movies and music!

360 has a better mp network AS OF RIGHT NOW! But not in the future its already starting to show its age. Its clunky and full of bad control and ads.

PS3's Home is coming!!! Everything the 360 has + more and + more. Interface is much better and friendly. You don't have to turn the console off to change controller ports. Oh man i hate that about the 360.

Most of all it doesn't break.

and has better games...

Bioshock is coming
Orange Box with saves anywhere.

Metal Gear Solid Online - Comes with MGS4 but they will expand it greatly. Its kick ass btw very fun and hardcore.

Wow asuka really is a bit of a fanboy.

Don't get me wrong I LOVED and i mean LOVED mgs 4 and is probably one of the best games I have ever played but it is still not enough reason for me to have bought a console. I was lucky my brother got a ps3 so i could play it.

Also I agree with the TC I ****ing hate the wii as well and sold mine. Made a nice little profit too

If you already have a good PC then I think it's pretty obvious which one you should pick. The 360 has plenty of great games that aren't on PS3 ... but almost every single one have been ported to PC and in better form. If you don't have a good PC then you have a decision to make, look at the exclusives from both platforms and make up your mind. Also take into account things like Blu-Ray, not having to pay for the ability to play online, and most importantly the reliability rate.

I have a high end PC and a PS3 ... and that covers everything I want to play. Sometimes games get released early for 360, but my roommate has one of those so that base is covered too .
