Deleat your cs source beta folder (not the gcf), restart steam and it will reappear.

i think your video card might be overheating thats the most common cause of artifacting. and dont say it doesnt do this in other games, different games push the video card in different ways. alt tab out of the game and see the temperature in the ati control panel.

It's just the 2d elements that go white. Apart from the fps meter. I'd guess some error loading the media.
