A multitude of people make, publish, and market any given game--the political persuasion of any one employee is about as reliable as an exit poll when it comes to gleaning red- or blue-state leanings in the games they make. Still, it is undeniably interesting to see who's donated to whose presidential campaign (e.g. Spore creator Will Wright donated $3,500 to Rudy Giuliani's $49 million dollar struggle to earn a single delegate). Website FundRace 2008 (http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/) provides a peek. Below are some of the game industry donors we've found using the site's candidate contribution tracker

Game developers: surprisingly conservative.

What isn't surprising is the Ronlovin'.

kinda wished they wouldnt make this sort of thing public ..who they donate to is none of our business ..having said I agree with Sulky, they're surprisingly conservative ..I mean Huckabee? why would they purposefully shoot themselves in the foot with a candidate like Huckabee, the guys a religious nut

More importantly no one loves the gravel or kunicich, which makes me feel much less sad about pirating from the bastards.
Also I would have expected EA to be more freedom loving seeing how they are evil and all.

If it makes them release Starcraft 2 sooner, they can give money to the crazy Japanese guy who tried to run for president on a platform of facism.

I'm surprised to see Romney up there at all. He was the most vocal candidate when it came to cleaning up the "filth" in video games. If any of them ever expressed an intent of landing the hammer on the gaming industry, it was him.

But then, they all have their personal lives, so there were probably other reasons. Just kinda strange.

Wow nobody has done the:  Gabe voted for Dodd. Guy has zero delegates and I'm pretty sure the guy doesn't even know if he's running for president.

Dodd was horrible in the debates, he just kept rambling on and on. I fell asleep.
