I was messing around in PS making a wallpaper using one the HL2 concept pictures, but I forget who drew it.

I'm pretty sure it was one of Valves art team, but I can't remember his name, anyone know?

Concept Art

Here's what I did with it by the way: Wallpaper

Ok, here's a list of possible people:

-Viktor Antonov
-Ted Backman - headcrab creator
-Quintin Doroquez
-Miles Estes
-Moby Fancke
-Eric Kirchmer
-Randy Lundeen
-Kristen Perry
-Douglas R. Wood

Thanks for comments. =)

Err, well thats a start... thanks.

I have a feeling it was Ted. Anyway, I'll just say it was done by someone at valve, didn't want to put it up on deviantart without any credit.

OMG! that pic is DOG!
or some gorilla robot..

i think that it was a SHE who designed those pics...
im not 100% sure though.. read it somwhere.

I don't think Kristen Perry made the concept art, she was responcible for all the finer publishing art.. like the metrocop with the stunbaton

It might be Victor.. but I am not sure

IDK who drew it, but that wallpaper is my new wallpaper. I needed a new color, and that yellowish on the pencil-like sketch fitted perfect!

i like the wallpaper alot, but could make it without the valve bit? and make the line its stood on thin? :) i would use it then for sure, the color its nice

;D

Now someone has actually used one of mine, I can shamelessly pimp my other ones: Here

Sorry.

And yeah, can do that mutt, few mins...

This Ok Mutt?

Can't really take much credit for that at all, pretty much all I've done is recolour, clean up and a little shadow to make it standout a bit more.

But if you like it... =)

Heeeeeeeeeeeeey!! that's my granny!! she is just comeing up from the shop. she is carrying heavy bags with products. that's why her hands are so long. she looks very tired. oh my dear granny!!

You can scroll up to the top of the forums here and see the same picture with some cool coloring. If you could duplicate that coloring on a larger version, I'll bet it would look cool with a silverish background...

The person who drew that picture is Bob Chandler. He was born in Boston, MA in 1967. He graduated in 1987 with high honors and attended Yale where he developed a rebellious reputation for himself by putting money in soda machines but never buying a soda.

His life was forever changed on Sept 16, 1993 when he was in an autoaccident that caused the lost of his right eye. He was in deep depression and was fired from various jobs until he found out Little Debbie, the person who has a line of delicious snack cakes named after her, also lost an eye in an auto accident.

This gave Bob hope to press on and fullfill his dream, he would go to bed at night and close his eye and dream of becoming a concept artist. And his job was fullfilled when he met Gabe in 1997 at a Laundry Mat.

This is the story of Bob.

Very nice blending of images there, could you possibly produce some different colour varients?
Gray would be cool.

I'd already applied by own shadowing and other stuff to make it stand out more, thats why that one looks a bit odd.

Hehe, I know.

But I tried real steam green and it looked way to dark. So lightened it up until just the text was roughly steam green.
