Flinging is really fun and I wish they had a lot more challenges that required you to fling... like multiple times in one jump too.

I want flinging maps that let me go farther, higher, and faster!!

In one of the first flinging-maps when GLaDOS goes "Weeeeeeeeee" she did almost exactly at the same time as I did it for real. I got freaked out. It was AWESOME.

I agree. The multiple jump parts were awesome.

I want moar Portals! :)

having played Narbacular Drop I would also like to see more fling levels. Perhaps also introduce the "Infinite Fall Fling" where you fall for a while then place a portal on a 45 degree angled wall and travel through at huge speeds. Of course the SDK will be released soon (according to the ND team, a couple of days) so we will most definitely be able to make our own Portal levels (with all the features too)

Looking at the achievements list the is one for flinging over 300 ft. Therefore it must be possible to pull off a really long fling somewhere in the game
possibly in the big room with the turrets near the end
The is also an achievement of falling over 30,000 ft. I haven't tried this one yet, I wonder how long you have to fall before it activates?

Hopity hop hop

Most of the time, the emphasis was on strategy/planning rather than reflexes. However, it would be neat to have an area where you had to repeatedly jump from one portal after another - kinda like the really tall room, but horizontal instead of vertical.

Maybe if the Portal Team release some new map packs for portal they should release one called the "Narbacular Pack" for the seasoned Narbacular Drop players (possibly recreating the Narbacular Drop levels in Portal style). All I know is that when the Portal map making stuff comes out there's going to be a bunch of map-packs made by the Narbacular fans.

If you want a difficult fling map, download "the quick and the dead" custom level for Narbacular Drop.

My god you synced 'wheeee!' with Glados too? That's awesome, that point in the game I found glados to be a delightful accompanyment to the puzzles. ... Before things turned creepy.

It might just be me, but during one particularly long fling, after flipping about 180 degrees in the air and landing upside down I made a joking 'BLUGHHHH!" sound in real life and laughed at myself. Has anyone gotten queasy while playing this game? I don't think it's very difficult considering...

I synched "Wheeee" with GLaDOS as well XD it really was awesome. Obviously the ND/Portal team are very clever and know when to expect certain reactions from players, in order to creep them out.

I haven't really gotten queasy playing the game, but I do get confused sometimes. :D

I'm betting that's a result of VALVe's extensive play-testing.

I love flinging myself, but i still suck too much to achieve anything amazing. I still enjoy going into the room with the massive turret ambush and just jumping out of the top bits into portals on the floor. Fun as hell.

One of the advanced versions of the maps requires you to use an infinite fall to fling yourself. Its hard to hit the wall with the portal that you need while falling infinitely.
