Who has been stained/soiled by spoilers?

There is nothing worse than overhearing a conversation between some mates to hear the ending to a movie that you had really been looking forward to seeing... and the same gos for Half-Life 2, I will admit I have been exposed to the lethal beta leak yes.... but I am glad to admit that I have heard nothing of the story line... and neither do I want to

I wanted to include this poll to gather your views on this matter.

I try to resist looking at spoilers, but I can't resist highlighting those black boxes, and I have accidentaly seen the pics of a banicle and bullsquid, not on purpose.

I've read loads of stuff. I don't really regret it, but there were a couple that smacked me in the head pretty hard.

I read spoilers that appear before me or are hidden by those black boxes. I d/led the leak, played it, looked at all the files, and listened to all the sounds.

I don't regret anything so far, but then again I haven't read any MAJOR spoilers so far.

and
I try to avoid spoilers.. but everytime I see that black box.. I just have to read it!!! I need help.

I read the first few words of a spoiler to see if its really about HL, If it is I prolly wont read it.

I know one spoiler now that I wish I didn't. Already guessed it from a screenshot, but a spoiler in a message more or less confirmed it.

Other than that, I've managed to remain fairly spoiler-free. I try not to go out of my way to find them, but sometimes it's tempting. :stare:

most of the time i dont read the black box but i was spoiled by a few spoilers when we had the spoiler spam blitz alittle while ago and when some newb came in posting spoilers from the leak, i read it before it got deleted unfortunatly, but it wont spoil the game too much

When I saw screenshots from the leak I thought:

Valve always showed the screens so that you couldn't see it before.
But then again you can see it in one of the binks so I guess it's not that much of a spoiler..

Nowadays I think it's pretty fun with spoilers.. You just have to get some perspective on the whole thing, will your life be ruined just because you've seen some things that unravel the story of a game you've never played?

I've received a (randomly distributed?) PM from someone registered on this board with a supposed spoiler in the topic header.
Other than that, I think only one of the screenshots in the PC Gameplay review could be considered spoiler material.
Perhaps I've just been lucky; I sometimes visit HL2 World and other fansites, but I have yet to be 'burnt' like some others have been.

Same every time i come to this forum i say im not gonna look at any spoilers (be them fake or not). but i always friggin do.

I don't read the spoilers, but I have been spoiled by people posting spoilers as topic titles and, more recently, by people joining CS servers with their names as spoilers.
