I'm interested in getting an XBox for this game, and when Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out.
Just wondering, how does the combat system work?
Is it like Prince of Persia's where you press left/right etc... and your character will shift to the direction and start his combo? Or do you just go up to an enemy and do your combo and kill him?
I understand there is blocking and rolling and etc...
But I'm looking for the main enemy switching mechanics.

I have ninja gaiden and it is really fun. And no, the combo system is better than prince of persia. You also get a bunch of different weapons and each weapons have different moves and combos. You can get up to about 100 hits or more for a combo if your really good. If you have an interest in these types of games....then go buy it.

Yes, I have a huge interest in these games.
But I need to know, how do you attack multiple enemies?

Ninja Gaiden relies heavily on a combo system - it's almost like a free form combat system. The combat is fast paced, with lots of blood and gore :P
The X and Y buttons are your friends, while the left trigger is to shoot shurikens.
Definately better than PoP in this area.

The platforming is very brief, except just jumping on walls. PoP is better in this department.

ng2 isnt coming out for quite some time
mid 2005 id say
anyways, ng combat can be compared to the likes of devil may cry for ps2
lots of button mashing AND careful button combos
its alot of fun! go out and get it

I dunno guys, Ninja Gaiden just isn't very revolutionary. All you are doing is basically running around killing enemies, no story whatsoever. Where's the physics? It does nothing to advance the genre.

*This has been an imitation of a Half-Life 2 fanboy's comments on every single FPS mentioned on this board.

Really though, Ninja Gaiden kicks ass.

I dont really have much fun with ninja gaiden.. seems like it's to hard for just a fun hack em up
